Opinion on doubeling coupons

I get a lot of coupons that state do not double on them. So, with trying to keep coupon integrity, I won't use them at stores that double because the coupon obviously states not to do it. Now I've seen people say "I tried it and it doubles fine" but wouldn't that be wrong to do? I just want to stay moral to using coupons and I would love your insite on if you feel it is ok to use a dnd coupon and have it double to get something for free. Thank you all very much!

Well, the instruction is to the store, not to the customer. You're not the one who decides how their registers are programmed or how the cashiers are trained to handle a DND coupon. It's been my experience that often a store's management has decided it's not worth their time to override DND's. They are the ones losing the doubled amount so if they decide to let it go, then it's just your lucky day.

My Fry's and Safeway make all coupons worth $1. no matter if it states DND/T so how can that be wrong? Like someone else posted its up to the stores policy as to if they will D/T it.

I use coupons that say DND and my stores double them if they are coded to double. That is up to the store occasionally I will get a cashier that will push the button to make them not double.

Personal feeling is if the manufacture was really wanting to make sure they don't double they would code them to make sure they don't double . If its the old bar code if it starts with a 9 it will not double when scanned.
