I am the pick up gal for papers for myself and 3 friends. I'm the only one who lives in town and is up early enough to get to the store for papers

So, I go get our 8 papers. Get the dirty look from the drive thru lady and a snide "couponers" comment. Then get home and only 2 of the 8 have the SS insert. All have the RP. I know the "stores may or may not" thing, but I've never been shorted before. The store won't do anything and neither will the paper, and that is fine. (Well, sorta...I'm still grrr LOL!)

But...how do I deal with only 2 SS and 4 people wanting coupons? Part of me is thinking that I drug my self out in 19* weather for these papers, they are MINE all MINE! But then I feel guilty. But dangit, I want those Pepsi coupons LOL! So, WWYD?

That is such a tough one,,I would feel the same bout draggn out n gettn them id b like well u want to make sure u get em all u go get em. I always check my papers before I buy em $2.09 a paper

Thanks y'all. I typically do check at the window, but there were 2 cars behind me and the lady was snotty already. I'm still undecided. Maybe I'll just order some SS and go that way. Guilt is a terrible thing!

I did go ahead and order the subscription service after calling the paper though. Same price as pick up because I live so far out of range, but no more hassles at the window! AND the circulation department didn't even flinch at 8 papers/week

You could also let the others know what happened and then you all decide what to do. It may be NBD to the others or they may just say hey I will just order what I want or you can even do a round robin thing and pick the coupons that you want and then order the ones you didn't get. No guilt this way.

Same thing for me here. Why go out early to buy them when they will deliver for same price? I buy 5 and have never been shorted coupons. The difference is the subscribed for papers have to have any coupons offered in them. Whatever is left goes into the papers that go to the stores.

The guilt got me! I ordered some whole inserts from Capri's and sent a text to all the girls. We'll end up one short that way, but we'll live. I managed a few trades for the dang Pepsi q's so I'm happy. Why Mt. Dew, why must you taunt me so?
