I am in need of a new way to organize my coupons. I am tired of standing in the middle of the aisle trying to look through all my stacks. Right now I have them in a tiny accordion file. This use to work great but now I just have too many to do this. I am looking for some new suggestions!

I know what you mean, My small accordian file wasn't working for me anymore. So I just upgraded to a Huge 3" binder. Its crazy, this thing is so big it has a shoulder strap. I'm still trying to get it organized.

I use the 3 ring binder with baseball card "cover" things. they hold 9 to a page and just group my stuff, baby, cleaning, paper good ect. I'm new to this also still working bugs out. Laura

I have 4 accordian files-- one just for baby stuff, one for grocery things, one that is empty that I fill only with the specific coupons I will need for a shopping trip, and one for store and restaurant coupons. It seems to be working for me, but I am still just a minor-league couponer!

I have an accordian file and my coupons are arranged by various categories.....but they are not labeled! I know which slot the coupons are in without labeling it. Also, in the front of my file, I keep an envelope with the different stores written on them: Target, Publix, Winn Dixie, CVS, Walgreens. Whenever I do my shopping, I put the coupons specific for that store/sale that I am going to use. That way, when I get to the store, I pull out my envelope and have everything I am going to buy listed on a sticky note attached to that envelope and inside the envelope are the coupons to match! I still keep my file with me just in case there is something extra at the store I see on sale/clearance which I have a coupon for. I have found it keeps me soooo much more organized!

I had the mini accordion file for a long time and like you said it was such a mess!! My mother gave me the Couponizer, below is the website: ![]() It was DEFINATELY a great investment and my trips so the grocery store are SO QUICK and easy! At least take a look at what it has to offer. The book has pocket folders for each page which are divided into "baby products", "dairy", "medicine", "meat/produce", "cleaning goods", "coupons to expire this month", "coupons to use at checkout" and more... I don't have the book with me right now, but there's probably almost 20 of these pages and they're pre labeled once you get it you just stick your coupons in the appropriate pocket/page. It's so quick and easy to keep up with!! I'm telling you this $20 for the book is WORTH IT! It saves you so much time and trouble at home and in the store. I can't brag about it enough! You'd think I work for the company! ![]() Last edited by monica; 11-29-2007 at 05:38 AM.

I use the binder method divided into sections: paper products, cleaning, dairy, snacks, etc. I also carry with me a calculator, small scissors and a small dry erase marker that I use to make notes on the baseball card inserts so I don't miss a deal as I'm flipping thru the coupons. In a pinch, you can use the backside of one of the sleeves and the dry erase marker to "do the math" longhand if you leave your calculator at home.

When I realized that my little accordian coupon folder was too small for me, I upgraded to a baby wipe box. Honest. I used a Huggies Wipes Box. I made dividers from cardboard and invested in sticky tabs to put on top (to write category name on). The cardboard was from empty cereal boxes -- I just measured the width and height of my Wipes Box and cut the cereal box cardboard accordingly. This worked wonderfully for awhile. Eventually, when I outgrew that system, I moved onto the DELUXE COUPON FILE sold on refundcents. Adnil recently made me a great coupon box... definitely bigger than my deluxe coupon file. And I use that when it is I have triple coupons. I find it a bit big for everyday shopping tho, so I still use my deluxe coupon file. Hope that helps!

I use the Deluxe coupon file sold on refundcents too. Mine is broken so it taped for the edges and I really out grown it. I no longer a member of refundcents so can't get another one to replace mine but I have dreams of the one Adnil makes that maybe I can get that for my Christmas present . A girl can dream right?

I bought an awesome coupon organizer off of e-bay. It is a box, but covered in a stylish fabric, it locks shut, and when it is shut, you can turn it upside down or throw it around and no coupons will be out of place. That is important to me because I have kids, and I don't want them to accidentally spill it. It fits in the child seat of the grocery baskets. Mine has four sections, with about 15 index card dividers in each section. I can't post a link, but the seller was best-bargainz. It was a little pricey ($30 with shipping), but I think it was worth it. I am too self-conscious to carry a binder, but since this looks like a purse, I don't mind taking it in the stores. I buy 5 papers a week, and cut most coupons, and it holds them all just fine. Filing and pulling expired is so easy and quick. The only modifications that I made was to add tabs to the dividers so that I can easily see my dividers and I also made up my own filing system. I don't post a lot, but I love this organizer so much I thought I would add my 2 cents! Thanks to all of you who share your tips! Tonya

I have two small accordian types that I carry with me in my bag at all times. One is for health/beauty divided into sections and the other is mainly grocery. I also have individual sections for Target/CVS/Walgreens. Because I can't possibly fit everything into those two little things I have my surplus divided the same way in larger accordian files. Those are kept in my bigger bag that is always in my truck. If I'm in Target or somewhere and something is clearanced I'll check my little binder and sometimes I'll run out to my truck to see if I have extras. It seems to work okay for me. I also have little envies labeled that I use when I'm doing CVS/Target/Walgreen deals. I figure out everything before I go to the store. The only surprise comes along during clearance shopping~~cause you just never know what you're gonna find. I'm pretty good at knowing whether or not I have a coupon for a particular item that I stumble across. It sometimes just takes me a little bit longer to find it!!! I shop ALOT so I generally know what to expect as far as clearance. I watch as stuff gets marked down. I basically rotate everything from my big binder to my little binders. It works for me so far.
