Fyi Rite Aid & Coupons

Just wanted to let everyone know that some Rite Aids block certain coupons from scanning during certain circumstances. Its really annoying when you're using the coupons like you're supposed to and the register won't let the cashier use the coupon.

Like today, I was at Rite Aid purchasing items for a Rebate deal and I had 3 Aussie 1.00 off one coupons. They said one coupon per purchase. I'm assuming that means per purchase of each item right? Unfortunately, the register would not let me use more than one. A bit of an annoyance but I figured 2.99 each is still a good deal even if I didn't get the 1.00 off on 2 of them. I wasn't going to make the cashier do something she couldn't do.

I'm mentioning this because it seems to be a trend with my Rite Aid. I don't know if yours does this. Please mention any stories you might have - I'm wondering if other Rite Aids are doing this too.

I wonder why they do it. Perhaps its to prevent people from clearing shelves? Since they don't lose money on coupons that can't be it.

I guess we'll just have to start breaking up our orders when we use coupons to use the coupons for the deals if its a new thing they're doing.
