| Dont' you love it when they are "in awe"?
Ok so today I had had HAD to go to the store and get some food for the kids to eat (baby included and we have NO MONEY) my fiance says... get whatever you can for ONLY about $10... I'm trying to keep the food budget at $5 PER day! I'm like PSSSSHHH no sweat! So I grab the sale ad and my box, and very selectfully, pick out my Q's. Off to Giant! Here is what I ended up with... 3 smithfield sausages 2 cartons beech nut rice cereal 4 jars beech nut stage 1 baby food 12 beech nut let's grow mini meals 6 pouches knorr sides Total before coupons: 33.41 Total OOp: $11.22 (VA has grocery tax also... eeeewwwww...  )Also the self check out wouldn't take both the $1 off beech nut cereal AND the B1G1, but i didn't feel like going through the trouble of the void, and we really needed it... so I just lived with it) but that's not even the best part... as I'm at the self check out scanning all my items, the woman behind me comments on my coupon box (that fits perfectly in the cart seat) "wow, that is just amazing!" I said thanks! and kept on moving, i didn't want to hold her up... So then I get done scanning my Q's and I pay and my receipt prints... I look at it and say... hmmmph... $11.22 Lady behind me says "wow you saved $11.22?" I said, "Nope, my TOTAL was $11.22..." she says, "woooooooooowwww, that's awesome....." she was totally in awe... I told her... you should see what I am about to do at CVS.... I know I know I know I TOTALLY should have referred her to AFC, but I didn't have a card or a pen, and I was sort of in a hurry... I made a boo boo... sorry

Thanks! He got his W2, so he FINALLY coughed up the debit card, but I was restricted to $10... which is understandable because we only have (had) $27... Hopefully he will be able to get his taxes done tomorrow and get a rapid refund til this "crisis" passes... but just in case, he told me to only spend $10 for two days of food for them... I spent $11.22 and got enough for them for almost a week! (they LOVE that sausage and would eat it everyday... so it worked out well...) after I left Giant i went to CVS and got 2 meters, 2 boxes of baked crackers, and some hershy bars (w/b1g1, because I needed a filler), and a gilette shampoo for $0 OOP... needless to say he was pretty happy when I got home. HOWEVER he did point out to me: Had I used a $3/$15 on each METER and paid seperately... I would have gotten $3 more for free... Wait! Aren't I supposed to be the couponer here!

Well, I'm just hapy that I got enough food to feed the kiddos for a few more days, until we find out for sure what's going on... and the CVS crackers were a bonus, because it's a good snack for them in between meals!
