Has anyone here ever taught a coupon class?? If so, could you share with me what all you discussed and how the class went?

I taught one to my play group moms. I created an outline that included coupon policies of the local stores, all the ways and websites to find coupons, how to stockpile and why to do it, how to organize coupons, how to do rebates (like Wags-easy rebate shopping), ect. I led the group (30 moms) in a discussion, but I didn't lecture. It was fun cuz I learned some stuff too, like how to do a price tracking chart to follow the cheapest price on a product.

I have taught one and moving on to teaching a few more. It's been a LOT of fun. I came up with my own outline, made up a few handouts and use a power point presentation. I also setup a little "display" of stuff that I got from different stores. I tally up all the prices of the products (after Q's) and have them guess at the beginning how much I paid for itall. HEHEHE I use items on the table as prizes and when it's all done the whole display goes straight to the church food pantry. Here's a little info about what I do in each of my classes now. I am reworking everything thoguh because I've only done 1 beginner class and have had such demand that I am separating everything out now.

Beginner Coupon Class
We will be going over where to find coupons, storage of coupons and use of coupons.

Advanced Coupon Class
We will be going over indepth shopping tips for CVS and Walgreens, stockpiling, having a coupon SWAP and more!
