How to clip coupons - a short video..

This is a short video we made today about how to clip coupons properly.

I hope this will help people who are new to coupon clipping get an idea of how to cut the coupons faster and more efficiently.

That pigsty is NOT our apartment, it's actually our neighbor's house (3 single guys, smells lovely...)...ours was much to messy to film in.

I don't have audio at work so I have no idea what he's saying. Lord help me.

1. Tell them to clean their stove

2. @ Michelle comment

I clip similar to that except I don't make a million piles like that.

Cute!

Question: Why do you recommend NOT keeping the inserts whole? I tend to pull all the coupons I know I will use (ie: what is usually on my grocery list or I know is usually free w/coupon); then all the rest stay IN the insert b/c I find them easier to find that way. I find that easier; but I know "to each their own"

Ok, love your idea Sam, to be honest with you I never thought of stapling them, I cut out 8 inserts a weekend(4 for me 4 for someone else). My problem though is that especially lately the printers have done a lousy job and the coupons do not line up, on some pages they're crooked, as well lately I've had some inserts that the pages are actually bigger then the other inserts.
I was trying to line up the actually coupons, but for the time it took to do that it took the same amount of time for me just to clip each page seperately.
I'll try the staple thing next time though.....well if I can find the stapler that is

im just not having any problem with crooked printing or anything like that - also i mean the bulk of the coupon is the important part - i would call your local vlassis or SS office and complain about the printing - it is most likely the local press they use..

We were carrying books of coupons to the store - it became completely useless - we are following the standard that is in all the basic couponing books like ME & steph nelson..

gotcha! I'm not taking my non-cut coupons with me shopping. Those stay home. Most likely 99% of what I need/would buy is in my coupon box.

Sam,
When the Academy comes calling, please remember us "little people" who knew you when. I think you should be entered into the next Sundance round as an educational short film. I'm not kiddding! Diana

Sam--I blame you because I didn't get to bed at a decent time! My computer downloaded it soooooooo slowly that I had to watch it in split-second snipits. Once it was fully downloaded I was able to watch it in regular time. But, before that, I must've sat here for close to an hour watching it in slow-slow-slow-motion!

It was cute though. And, today when I was cutting coupons "The Riffparker Way," I kept getting the giggles! Imagine--cutting coupons on a gas range! You nut!

Sometimes he does the dishes and puts my plastic bowls from Crate & Barrel on the burners "to dry". I end up yelling "pilot light! pilot light!" when I notice it.
