I have been having problems printing coupons from Cool Savings & Smart Source, and I started to write letters of complaints to the manufacturers of the products being offered. One of which was Nestle's. Here is their reply.

Since we are unable to retrieve your online coupons for printing, we will be sending then to you via regular mail. And please note that our seasonal creamers begin shipping to stores soon!

I have received letters, coupons, free full size products, from Propel (10 coupons for "free" any Propel product), Gatorade (2 cases of the 32 oz), St. Ives (6 coupons for "free" any St. Ives product), Royal Chinet, Nabisco, Quaker, Proctor & Gamble, Pillsbury, General Mills, Betty Crocker, Keeblers (12 coupons for any Keebler Product), Clairol, Duncan Hines, Hershey, anytime the coupons are at Cool Savings or Smart Source I write the company a letter of complaint regarding the java and active x issues between Windows XP/Vista and those two sites. I also mention that Cool Savings attempts to install SPY-ware and that I hope they don't endorse "invasion of privacy".

Would you be willing to share an example of an email you have sent? Those sites make me crazy too when I try to print! Thanks in advance!

Since I have experienced problems printing from Smart Source and Cool Savings I have begun to write the product manufacturer emails and letters complaining about these two sites.

Here is a sample of my letter:

A coupon site (Print Grocery Coupons!) (coolsavings . com and/or smartsource . com)was offering a coupon for your product:

SAVE $1 on any two (2) varieties of Aunt Jemima® Frozen Breakfast items.

There are MANY compatibility issues between Smart Source and XP-Professional and Vista Operating Systems. I have spoken with Microsoft Software Assistance and they have confirmed an issue with the Active X and Java Script being generated by the Smart Source Coupon Generator Program. I believe it is in the best interest of your company to address this issue with Smart Source. I cannot be the ONLY computer user having this problem. The majority of PC users have the Microsoft XP or Vista Operating System.
It was also noted that another internet coupon site Cool Savings was attempting to INSTALL a SPYWARE on my system by my Anti-Spyware Program, I would hope you do not endorse "invasion of privacy" by cool savings.com. I was not able to confirm that Smart Source was also trying to install a SPY-Ware.
Because of the compatibility issues, I was not able to take advantage of a great sale at my local grocery store with the benefit of a $1 off coupon for your product.
I would like to suggest you use a more reliable source for the COUPON printing or allow access to a PDF Coupon at your website.
I look forward to the resolution of this problem between Pinnacle Foods, Smart Source and XP-Vista computers.

TY - I have recently got the new Vista and have been having nothing but problems with these sites as well. I hope that I have as much luck using this approach.

are there printables out there for the gatorade? how did you get the cases?

I never realized that this has been the problem I've had since I've got my new PC and it has Vista. Thank you soooooo very much for bringing it to my attention. I've gave you rep points for this and sharing your letter!

im so glad i came upon this thread,i have a vista now too,and i thought it was just me having this problem.these manufactors need to do some updating for these coupon sites.
