| Response from CVS over no mfg coupon refund
Heard back from CVS about the mfg coupon I used on a purchase that a store refused to refund me when I had to return the item. A big to-do over $1, but.........: "Thank you for your e-mail regarding the xxxxx CVS/pharmacy location. I am able to help you with this matter. "Please accept my apology for the cashier not refunding your $1.00 coupon to you. I have contacted xxxxx, District Manager directly and made him aware of your comments. He will address your concerns with the Store Manager and staff. We will take the necessary action to prevent this from recurring in the future. I hope that you will give CVS/pharmacy another chance to prove that we are dedicated to customer service. I have manually issued $1.00 coupon to your CVS/pharamcy ExtraCare card. Please allow 48 hours for our systems to update then it will print on the bottom of your register receipt. "Customer service is our top priority and we do not tolerate the type of service you have been receiving. We appreciate that you gave us this opportunity to address it. " Thank you again for contacting us xxxxx. Your feedback is very important to us. We value your business and appreciate having you as our customer. Have a wonderful week!"

Good for you! I can't believe they wouldn't refund you for the $1 coupon. The lack of common sense on the part of some customer service reps is truly mind boggling!!

The things we have to go thru! Hope you don't experience this again. I have had this happen on a few occasions and because I was in a hurry and not in the mood to discuss it any further, I left it at that. Next time it happens, I definately will call CVS. Glad you received a favoravable response. Although I would still want to know what they did with the coupon.

I'm sure they submitted the coupon for collection, altho I returned the item the next day after buying it.

I just wish we could get them into the mindset of thinking of coupons like cash because they really are just another form of payment.
