For some reason I've been really sensitive lately... but I don't think I'm over reacting to this. I went to walmart today and saw they had tiny jars of pace salsa for $1.32. Sweet! I had 5 pace Q's with me for $4 off. Overage city!!! I was so excited. I got a lil something for myself an airwick I motion and some candles which I had Q's for but didn't cover it all. So I went to check out and the woman wouldn't take my Q's. I asked her to call over a CSM. she said she wont take them, so I said to call a manager. The manager took 20 minutes to get there, Im on hold with 1800WALMART for ever and they didn't pick up until i got out of the store ne ways. The Assistant manager, monique said that they wouldn't take my Q's because they were internet prints and they're basically all fake! She basically said I was trying to rob them in front of like 6 people. I was so embarassed. I told her they all had individual pin numbers and I won them over a period of time on the pace game online. She didn't care. She said usually they would take one but now she won't take any of my Q's. WTF!!! Almost all my Q's were IP's but she wouldn't take the pace ones? I was so embarassed. I got all my stuff got in my car and started to cry. All I'm trying to do is save money for my family. They get reimbursed from the manufacturer anyways, what's the problem. She didnt have to say I had fake coupons in front of all those people. Times are tough for us, we just had a baby, I just recently got a job but haven't even gotten paid yet. I called corporate and the poor lady could barely understand what i was saying. I don't know how they can make this right. It's like it was manager take a day off day. None of the marketing managers were available in my area, none of the district managers were available, the store manager wasn't there. I mean, I thought I knew walmarts coupon policy and it was to give overage, not to adjust the coupons. I am worried I'm wrong and Im going to look like an idiot. Even if I'm wrong, the lady embarassed me in front of a bunch of people. Im so pissed. Anyways, Im just complaining. Do you all have any imput or validation for me?

wow that is rough. but they arnt supposed to give overage. supposed to adjust the coupon to the price of the item. im sorry for the horrible expereience. ((hugs)) -Misty

((hugs)) I dont know what is up with WM lately, but it seems they are making a habit out of embarrassing their customers. Good deals or not, I'm so close to rebanning them for how horrible they are treating people!

so sorry hun :hugs: CVS made me cry once so I know EXACTLY how you feel. I don't know why they have to make us feel like criminals....it's SO wrong Chin up...get back in there and kick their *ss with a whole load of Q's!

Sorry that happened to you....That is embarrassing and annoying....I recently did the IP's for Kool-Aid at our local Giant Eagle and was turned away because "there were too many fakes out there" I didn't mind paying for it..........actually yes I did, very much, I knew I was in the right and that was bull crap (I don't even buy Kool-Aid but the fact that it was free made it appeal to me)....Then I spend 3 dollars on it just not to look stupid while I returned it....You are not wrong, and it's not stupid of you to cry.....Sorry your trip sucked....Don't let it ruin your couponing...Hope the rest of your day is better |

Its rediculous that their wasn't one person at corpoarate that you could speak with. I am not a big fan of walmart but living in a small town they got me by the you know whats!!! i would have cried as well. Walmart needs to educate their cashiers not only in couponing but also customer relations.Shame on that lady for treating you that way, Karma is a *itch, I believe that

I'm sorry that happened to you! I'm kind of submissive so I'll just say ok nevermind and tell them to take it off my order. I hope they do something for you and keep us updated! It didn't seem by the way you explained that they were against it because of the overage. It seems they were against it because they were IP's. I hope you can find something that states they do accept IP's.

What a disappointment to go in the store all excited and then be treated this way. You did nothing wrong! Wish I could've been there to give that Assistant Manager a piece of my mind over her embarrassing a customer like this. You handled things the best you can and have the support of all us.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. They should be ashamed of themselves. I wish I could have been there in line with you just to call and complain about the way you were treated and the way it would have made me and everyone around you feel. Shame on them. That corporate rep needs to accept all of you r coupons and send you a check for every penny you spent with a GC and a heartfelt apology. And that cashier Brunhelga or whatever you want to call her, needs to be reprimanded. There is Never any reason to make a person this upset. Especially a customer.

Thanks girls, I feel a little better but I doubt I will be returning to that walmart again. I can not even tell you how horrible I felt inside. I have a super walmart right up the street, i should have just gone there but I didn't, I went to the one farther away for a change of scenery uggh. I always get wierd when it comes to money, it embarasses me to be cheap but it's something I have to do right now. Thanks for all the advice, I hope I get a call tomorrow bright and early in the morning. I'll definately keep you all updated on what happens, Im sure this will be interesting.

Honeygirl hang in there!! You did NOTHING WRONG!! Walmart is getting really bad in my area too about IP's. Please keep after Corp. and let us know what happens. I'm so sorry that they made you feel bad.

That's just not right. I admire you for the composure you did show. I would have just walked out and let them put all that stuff back. Most likely, I would have used language I won't type here, LOL! I don't go to Walmart much anymore since it's out of our way. I think someone in corporate should make this right for you. |

You should not feel embarrassed because you did nothing the wrong. The Cashiers at Walmart have really gotten ugly. I have also experienced a nasty cashier that tried to make me look like the bad guy. My rule of thumb is that if they treat me like that I will leave every item that I was going to purchase and let them deal with that. Do not feel bad |

I'm sorry this happened to you. http://www.afullcup.com/forums/too-g...8842-pace.html - the end of March, Walmart told another customer the Pace coupon was fake, post #13. She went to another store and they were ok there. Post#30, May - another member was told at Publix that the $4 Pace was fake. I suggest you call Pace also. Let them know that a store refused their coupons. If Walmart does not call back, call them back.

I have even used them at a smaller grocery store chain and only got (1) and it was on sale for $2.00 (but no overage). I had a tough time with a few of my IP's tonight at Walmart. She wouldn't take several due to the fact they were more than the item I was buying. She said that they are having to get really strict about what they will and won't take because (and she pointed to another spot) she said, "Over there, we have about $600 worth of fake IP's so they are making us be incredibly vigilant about it." She was nice about it and I just had her remove the things that the coupons wouldn't work for. But it still kind of pisses me off! I don't use fradulant IP coupons nor would I!!!! She didn't infer I did, but wouldn't take several of the coupons either.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just had this happen to me yesterday!!!!!!! Same thing with the Pace Salsa IPs, only I had accumulated 13. First, the Assistant Manager looked at me and asked if they had been reproduced..........OMG I was so pissed! Then she said the coupon says "one per purchase". Yes, one coupon per jar of Pace. If it was one coupon per transaction it would say so. Then she went on about the whole overage thing and said the value is more than the product. Once again, uneducated Walmart employees. After over 30 minutes at the register I said "fine, I don't want any of it!" At that point I was done being nice and understanding with them and they put back over $100 in merchandise! The manager was supposed to call me today after she called corporate but I still haven't heard back!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I still got all my stuff yesterday, I just went to another Walmart!) It's not like I really want a bunch of Salsa! I just want to be able to be frugal enough to continue to be a SAHM to me son! I'll probably donate the salsa anyway!

Cheer up, Walmart's CSM tend to be on the rude side and love to change the rules day by day. I know how you feel about the crying part, I balled when Old Navy's computer had a qlick and rang my weekly coupon up twice and then code was deactivated and they just said Im sorry. I was crying so hard that hubby called Old Navy and gave them a good piece of his mind. He was like why you crying over a coupon? As I was crying I said, "it was $60 off $100!" He was like oh god let me call! The point is when you have a passion for something, coupons for us, and you know you are right, mostly when fighting with a Walmart CSM, emotions will run high! Cheer up.
