I was wondering if those of you who have had positive responses when writing companies ask for coupons or simply compliment the product? TIA

The only one I've contacted was YoCrunch last year b/c I never really saw any coupons for it. I complimented the product and asked where I can find coupons b/c we buy it so often. That didn't seem like outright saying "give me coupons", you know? Funny thing is I got a response saying they appreciated the feedback and were sending coupons in the mail, but I never got them. :-(

When there's something I really like, I try to take the time to send an e-mail to the company to let them know. Fortunately, most have been kind enough to send coupons on their own. ![]() One place that loves to send coupons is Country Bobs Country Bob's Online Last time I sent them an email, the sent me coupons for 12 free bottles! Good thing I love the stuff!

I may have written 5 to 8 companies whose products I enjoy and compliment them.. then I ask If I be put in their mailing list if they have one. Some reply that they will be more than happy to include me in the list and some say they don't have it.. buy will send me coupons in the mail. Go try and be surprised when you open your mailbox

No, I rarely, rarely ask outright for coupons. Most of the time, a really nice compliment is all it takes.

I never know what to do about this. I read on here somewhere that it is better to just compliment and not ask for coupons. I have gotten a pretty good response from a couple companies when I asked them to send me coupons so I could try their products. Ken's food sent me 4 coupons (including one for free baby rays) and Famous Daves sent 5 or 6 $1 off coupons for BBQ sauce. I have also seen on a couple websites where you write to them and you choose a reason why you are writing and sometimes one of them is to ask for coupons. |

I always just compliment and then ask to be added to thier mailing list if they have one, for the most part they tell me they have no mailing list but will be sending something by mail to thank me for my loyality.

I've never asked for coupons, but I've gotten coupons in the mail just about every time I've complimented (or complained about) a product.

Thanks for the feedback. I've written several companies, some with a great response and some with nothing. I wrote to compliment Static Guard and got nothing. But later when a can stopped (after using only about 1/4 of it) working I complained and got a free q in the mail.

This reminds me of something I saw on walmart.com recently. I go there often to sign up for samples that I'm interested in b/c I know they often come with coupons. You usually fill out a brief survey first. The last one I did asked why you wanted the sample and a couple of the responses in the list were something on the order of "I just like free things". Pretty straightforward, don't you think?

Yesterday I got 2 envelopes of coupons from Amy's Organics. About a week ago I wrote to them complementing them on their growing variety of organic meals and their addition of kids meals to the array of frozen items etc. They wrote back asking what the favorites were (I replied with all the diff. favorites of our fam of 5 . Next thing I knew I am swimming (gladly) in coupons.On the other hand I complemented Streach Tite (kind of like saran wrap) and didn't get anything - no response at all. I guess it just depends on the company! Good luck! |

i always ask for coupons if i compliment or complain about a product. also sometimes i just email companies especially for pet food and ask for any coupons they can provide. i aslways get some in return. blackcat35@myfairpoint.net |

The few companies that I have complimented... I did not ask for a coupon...but they did send my one. I think most reputable companies will send a happy customer a q to say thanks and continue to make you happy.
