| Contacted Target and Small Planet Foods
We got some chips from Archer Farms the other day, 4 bags of them. No matter how careful we were, none of us could get them open without messing up the resealable package, so I decided to write and tell them about it, in case they got enough emails saying the same thing and they might redesign it. I got this letter from them, which I really like b/c it didn't seem standardized (in part because of the grammatical errors): "We've taken these comments very seriously, so thanks for taking the time to let us know about the problem you had opening our resalable chip bag. I'm glad to hear you and your husband did enjoy them you were able to open the package. Your comments and feedback is important to us that's why I've shared your comments with our grocery team for review. We look forward to serving you again soon at Target. Sincerely, Terry" I also emailed Small Planet Foods, which makes Cascadian Farm products, because I am a fan of their granola variety cereals, bought two of some other varieties because they were on sale, and didn't like them at all. Here's what they sent: "Thank you for contacting our company with your thoughts about Cascadian Farm Fiber Right honey clusters cereal. We are sorry you were disappointed. Our goal is to give consumers quality products at a good value. Prior to introducing any product, extensive consumer testing is done. Each product must receive a high rating in our testing program before it goes on the market. Food products are individualized with personal likes and dislikes; therefore, we design our products to satisfy the majority of people knowing that we may not please everyone. We appreciate your comments and hope you continue to enjoy many of our other fine products. Sincerely, Katie Gafler" At first I thought that sounded kind of defensive, but then at the bottom of the email it said this: "In keeping with our satisfaction guarantee, we are sending replacement product certificates to the address you provided. Please allow 2-3 weeks for them to arrive." I'm glad to know that some companies out there seems to really want your opinions about things, and are willing to consider reimbursing your money even if it is just because you personally did not like it. I also emailed about a box of Chocolate Chex that I (and my 5 YO DD) thought was gross, and am waiting to hear back on that one. |
