Free sausage gravy ... HELP

This week at Krogers, they have sausage gravy free-after-coupon.

Free is good.

But I have no idea what suasage gravy can or should be used for ... I have never made a thing using sausage gravy in my entire life (at least that I can recall).

So can somebody help me please? What does one do with sausage gravy?

Or a Cracker Barrel for the Uncle Hershel's breakfast - my favorite:
Two Eggs
with Grits
Sausage Gravy
Biscuits
Hashbrown Casserole
Grilled Pork Chops

I have to stop this - no more thinking about Sausage Gravy for me...

Also - I have tried some packaged sausage gravies before and they are (in my opinion) - all lacking! Not good.

Are there any other uses for it, other than over biscuits?

Would you ever use it as an ingredient in a casserole (or hot-dish, as KMC would say), or anything else like that?

Actually, you could toss in some tator tots and call it a hot dish! I'm sure though that TT are another no-no for your diet.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I've ever had - but I can't see why you couldn't.
Maybe you could finagle up some sort of casserole with green peppers, (cubed up potatoes, grated potatoes or egg noodles) & mushrooms. And maybe add some spicy hot italian sasauge to take away some of the "breakfast" sense - I'd think along the lines of a stroganoff casserole type of thing...

Have you ever had SOS? Or as my mom fondly refers to it, **** on-a shingle? All you have to do is toast your favorite bread, and pour sausage gravy over it, but once again...not too sure if this will work with your diet!

No, closest thing to that that I ever had was a "Hand Sandwich". A piece of bologna on your hand (meaning without bread).

Is a 'hand sandwich' just a way to make a 'knuckle sandwich' taste better?
