| Can you freeze tomatoes? I know that sounds very unconventional, but I made salsa 2 years ago and froze it and it came out VERY good! I had to drain a little water off of it, but it tasted just like fresh! So it got me thinking, could I just throw my tomatoes in the food processor and freeze them like that - ready for either salsa or sauce? Or is it the vinegar in the salsa that allowed me to freeze it? Any help is much appreciated! I know people usually can their tomatoes, but I'd much prefer to freeze them - less work and much more tasty! And I have tomatoes coming out my ears right now!! |
