| What's for Dinner?: 5/4/12
In is peeking through today, and bringing its heat! I have a busy day with school program & party and a visit from my sister-in-law to work on coupons. I think we're going to have steak tonight. I haven't bought it yet, so we'll see if I can make it to the store. I really want baked sweet potatoes and grilled cabbage with it. Can you tell I'm hungry NOW? Im making 24 strawberry and vanilla zebra print(very cool looking to have a design inside!) cupcakes and 24 chocolate and vanilla zebra print cupcakes along with a large chocolate/vanilla marble mommies belly cake for a babyshower on sunday.This might b the biggest order ive done yet.Also have to make 2 or 3 batches of marshmellow fondant so it can rest for the decorating after i get off of work tomorrow. We are having pork chops coated with the rosemary Kraft fresh takes (on someone's suggestion). I will serve them with steamed veggies and garlic bread. Hoping to get to Costco tomorrow because the cupboards are empty!

We're expecting FIL to arrive this evening, and he's staying the weekend with us. We'll have lasagna, salad, and garlic cheese toast for dinner. I made a peanut butter eclair cake for dessert. Have a great Friday! |

Tonight the younger two girls are staying overnight at grandma's, so DH, I and the older two girls are having pizza, buffalo wings and salad.

The day started out cold, windy and rainy, now it's warmer, sun is shining but still a little windy - but the sun coming out makes me want to GRILL GRILL GRILL so I'm gonna stuff some small sweet peppers with crumbly mexican cheese, marinate some mushrooms in a homemade teriyaki sauce, make a bloomin onion grilled style and probably have some beef brauts, all on the grill, YUMMY - oh and I bought a older loaf of jalapeno cheddar bread we should eat up. At leats if there's green stuff on it I can say it's jalapenos...... Oh and now that grilling season is upon us I thought I'd pass along a little tidbit of info I learned from a chef who was a whiz with a steak. Make sure the steak is room temp before you put it on the grill, and make sure the grill is HOT, the combo of those two things will sear the meat and keep all those good juices in.

I ended up having a half salad at panera. Someone took me out to the avengers (hellllo Chris hems worth!!) and let me pick panera for dinner. He also made me critically aware I need to stay away from him so that's that on free meals out. I looove panera!
