Question Pots N Pans

I need some new pots n pans! LOL! The question is what kind should I buy? So I am asking you for your help. What kind of pots and pans do you have or do you like? I normally buy T-Fal, but in the last 12 years, I have had to buy 2 sets. I think they should last a little longer.... What is your advice?

I am using Green Pans now for non-stick skillets ...they are holding up to DH's cooking, which ruined EVERY other set of non-stick I ever had!

they are not as non-stick as originally, but no black flakes

I also have some other coated pots, but not sure if they are Silverstone or what...had them a while ...they are WearEver - thick anodized set - 2 skillets [ruined by DH long ago], 2qt, 3t and 6qt pots ....holding up great for daily use

also have cast iron skillet and wok ...both more non-stick than you think!

got rid of stainless skillets - more oil req'd, harder to keep clean

as you can see, I have a mixture accumulated over the years with add/replace as needed

if only your T-Fal skillets are shot, just try some new skillets

I'v never been really picky about my cookware. I've got some stainless that I've been using for 30 years (Signature,Prestige). I find that some of the others that are supposed to be good are way too heavy for me. As long as it isn't cheap (thin) and has good handles you could get some reatively inexpensive cookware at Ross or TJ Max.

I prefer stainless steel. I bought a set of Farberware 30 years ago and they are still going strong. Love them. I do keep a couple of nonstick pans for cooking eggs and making grilled cheese. I just can't stand the nonstick when the finish starts to chip off, you have to be eating it. So....my vote is for stainless steel!

I am in love with caphalon anodized pans. I have 2 sets of them, one has a large stock pot. I use these daily and nothing ever burns!

I also have a few food network anodized pans.

I don't want to eat nonstick coating, so I stay away from all versions of that cookware.

I absolutely LOVE my Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless set. I really wanted Calphalon, but just couldn't bit the bullet and pay that much, so I went with this set. They are great! Even heating and cooking, able to go in dishwasher, and oven. I have seen them sold as low $219 online, too.

I am in love with my Caphalon. I got a complete TFal for Christmas one year. As each TFal dies, I run out to the store and get a Caphalon replacement. I can usually pick them up cheap at Ross.

I now have Calphalon hard-anodized and stainless - I will never get non-stick again. I had no idea the non-stick finish would flake off after a couple of years.

I got Paula Deen pots and pans about a month ago for a wedding present and I absolutly love them!!!! I have never had a set that works so good and alot of times I am turning down the heat as they boil so fast and they cook the food beautifully! I got them at Target for $120.00. I will never go back to any other cheaper pots/pans again!

I have a big mix and match thing going on. I have some cast iron skillets that are worth their weight in gold. For day to day cooking jobs, like eggs for breakfast on veggies at night I love my copped pots. not just copper bottom but completely copper. I can't cook with out them. I really can't, I tried using my sisters stuff last thanksgiving at her house and ruined all the stuff I was trying to make.

I have used my Revere Copper Bottom 10 piece set for 29 years, it was a wedding gift. I also have some T-fal skillets, which like other posters said, you need to replace them when the suface gets scratched. I also have a couple large Thomas skillets from Bloom Happy Points last summer, which I love!
