| Can I broil without a broiler pan?
Ok.. this is going to sound so weird but the only pan I have is a cookie sheet.. So I made a makeshift pan out of the free foil from Walgreens (yes if only I could find my camera!! you'd pee yourself.. I just about did) So.. ya think I can still broil the steaks without having to have an actual broiler pan?

I broil using any pan that can withstand the heat. I use the broiler setting on my oven frequently for browning and finishing food.

I just use a small flat pan and put a wire rack on top of it so the steak isn't sitting on the pan itself and is up near the coils. I line the pan with foil so its easy to clean and the wire rack can go right in the dishwasher. I think I got both the pan and the rack in an old toaster oven I don't have anymore. A cookie sheet would work just as well.
