Longevity of Reusing Turkey frying Oil

We used a box of Crisco turkey frying oil (peanut oil blend) at Thanksgiving. My husband poured the used oil (no filtering/straining) back into the container.
Can we reuse one last time for a Super Bowl turkey?

I would think you could use it one more time,

If it smells funny, don't try it, I have used mine more than once.

I read somewhere that you can store it in the fridge and it will be good for up to a year. I have never kept it that long.

Good Luck, That stuff is so expensive!

I realize this is old news now and sorry about that! Whenever we fry a turkey in the fryer, DH strains the oil with a coffee filter, and puts it in smaller oil containers that we save. It then goes into the refrigerator or freezer. Keeping it cold also keeps it from going rancid. We have used it up to 3 times in a year for the turkey/chicken frying and when we need oil in the kitchen, I just get a bottle out of the fridge and let it come to room temp. That cooking oil is way too expensive to use once and then dispose of, IMO!
