I am so thankful that your family finally has Cayden home as it should be! I know it has been a trying journey, not the start that anyone would wish for a precious little one, yet even having such a small part as I have had in praying and hoping for little Cayden's health and progress has reminded me to focus on what is truly important in life--holding our loved ones close. I can only imagine the change that each member of Cayden's family has been through throughout this journey, and that the love that each of you hold in their hearts for him has multiplied beyond what seemed possible. Just a quick update for you. It has been a great few weeks to have Cayden home!! He did have one reflux episode that made him stop breathing for about 39 seconds, and had to stay overnight at the hospital. They have since changed his formula and added extra rice cereal to it to make it thicker. Today he had another appointment and he now weighs 8 pounds 11.5 ounces!! I am so thankful for this precious little miracle baby!

Thanks so much for posting an update and including those precious pictures Cayden looks so wonderful, he is definitely a miracle here on earth! Sounds like everyone is settling in well to having him home, praying he will outgrow the reflux and apnea quickly--hugs!

Amazing, God really does some amazing work . Who would ever believe when you look at him now that he weighed 1 lb. 12 .oz at birth.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I have been busy enjoying being a Nana! Cayden now weighs 10 pounds 10 ounces. Both his eyes are healing and he won't have to have glasses or surgery(due to the oxygen) now. He is almost 5 months old!!! 2 months adjusted age!! And He is doing great. Thanks for all your prayers and support!

I can barely believe how much he is growing! And am SO grateful for his continued healing, so many preemies require eye surgeries, he has truly beaten the odds so many times!!

Cayden is now 6 months old and doing great! He weighs 13 ponds.. He is focusing so much more on things and smiling and a little laugh out loud every now and then. He is trying to goo and boo.
He may have a small cyst on the side of his head they are scheduling a head scan within a couple of weeks. I pray that it's not but God is in control.

my nephew was born at around 25/26 weeks...he is 3 now...he is a beautful active 3 yr old...has some delays..talking is the big one...he will eventually have to get surgery on his eyes also..he had some lung problems also.. he is as smart as ever...its amazing what the hospitals can do nowadays...your grandson is beautiful!!!

We took Cayden to have his first pictures made Sunday. I just look at him and know how blessed we are are to have this little miracle in our lives. He is 7 months old and weighs 15 lbs. He is the center of attention in our family!

He does have a little place on the side if his forehead they have scanned and don't know what it is. He has to have surgery on Nov. 2nd to have it taken off. It isn't attached to his skull it's just in the skin which is an easier surgery. I am just keeping the faith that it is nothing major.

Oh my goodness!! Look how big and adorable he is! At 15 lbs. he is probably catching up in weight and clothing size. Thanks so much for the update, I love seeing it. I am so happy for your family!

I use to say to my boys why are you so cute? and they would reply because I look like my mommy. (of course I taught them that) ha ha ha
