I have not been working full time since November, and last Friday I interviewed for a web design company that I REALLY want to work at, so I am asking prayers for the hope of being offered this job. Due to the fact that I have not been working, stress levels have been EXTREMELY high at my house. My husband is such a pesimistic (?sp) person. He has been telling our 5 year old daughter that if mommy doesnt find a job, we are going to lose everything, even our house (not true). This is something you DO NOT tell a child! I am so angry about that. This makes my heart ache to be around such negativity. My husband and I have talked about it, but he does not change. This puts so much stress on me (yes I let it) We are ok financially, but I do want to find a job full time whether it be in home or outside the home. Sorry for the rambling.

I just ask for prayers and guidance for this time in our lives.

I know this is a hard time for you. My husband lost his job twice within 2 years and it was a very difficult and trying time for us. We were also raising 4 kids the time - 14, 12, 4 and 1 at the time. But I think that we all have those times - the issue is that you have to stick together as parents during these times. Can you enlist some help from family, some support? Someone to gently tell your husband not to share his fear with his daughter? I am praying for you and hope you get a job offer soon.

I am praying that you get this job and it is everything you hope for. Also praying that your husband gets his act together and discusses his fears with you and not your child. I can understand talking to your child about the fact that times are tight and the need to cut back on spending. But not to strike fear in them. That was completely uncalled for!

Yes, DH & I just agreed in prayer for you.

We read a book together about the power of our negative words that can defeat our blessings or success called:
"Hung by the Tongue", about 40 pages.

It is an older book, around everywhere. DH was required to read it for his sales job, the men really liked it. Many were unaware they were even doing it & it changed the outcomes of their sales & relationships.

Whether negativism is a habit pattern from our parents, an awkward way to release fear, or an underlying depression, the Lord has the answer & will uncover the root problem for healing.
