So I woke up my husband at 2 this morning with my right side hurting so badly. At first I thought appendix, but the pain moved up higher. So we went to the ER, and I have a kidney stone. It isn't a huge one - praise the Lord - but any are painful. Please pray that it passes quickly and the pain doesn't get intense again like when I woke up.

Drink lots of water and cranberry juice. I had a huge kidney stone for 2 years it kept getting bigger but because it stayed in the kidney my dr and er dr said it shouldn't cause pain. WRONG! I finally got a referral to urologist and he said they did cause pain and that is why I always had blood in urine and lots of uti's. I had it blasted and the relief was wonderful! Good luck and I hope you pass it easily.

Bless your heart, I'm so sorry you're having to go thru this. Exactly 2 weeks ago yesterday my DH woke me up at 2 am with stones. This was his 2nd round since Nov '08. I have never seen anything bring him to the floor other than a kidney stone. But God is good and He is the great healer. Praying wisdom for your docs and peace and comfort for you. And of course that you would be able to pass it as quickly and painlessly as possible.
