The true thanks for this thread goes to both CM_Angel and NJMom. There were so many threads re: Redbox codes that I decided to clean them up and make just one big post.

Don't know what redbox is??

• Redbox is a vending machine for DVD rentals.
• Located at McDonalds and various grocery stores across the USA.
• You need a credit card to rent a movie.
• You do not need to do anything online in order to rent a movie from Redbox.
• Rentals are always $1.
• Rentals are due the next day either by 7pm or 9pm. (Check your vending machine for your return time.)
• Returns can be made to ANY Redbox machine. Yes, you can rent your movie around the corner but return it down the road. Yes, you can rent your movie in NorthCarolina and return it in Virginia.

FREE RENTAL CODES

The list below contains codes that might give you a free rental! I say 'might' b/c some of the codes might be expired and some may only work in certain areas of the USA.

The code will allow for ONE free rental. Not a BOGO, but a completely free rental. Each code will work ONE time per credit card. This means if you have 2 credit cards (each with a different credit card number), then you can use a code 1x on each card. Even though Redbox will allow you to rent a video online (to pick up at location of your choice), you can only use the free rental codes at the actual Redbox machine.

Using a code is easy: When you approach a Redbox machine, there will be 2-3 big rectangles on the screen. In the bottom left corner will be a rectangle that says "rent with free code" (or something like that). Touch that rectangle and enter the code. The machine will process the code and either accept/reject it. If it accepts, continue on thru the menu and choose a movie. In the end, you will see your total is $0. If you forget to put in the code in the beginning, you will have another chance to enter the code after you choose your movie. On the checkout screen (where you will see your total), there is a button marked "enter free code" (or something like that).

According to an email I received today, next Monday looks like it will be the last of the regular Free Monday Rental codes too ............


Dear redbox customer,

The word is out that you can take home new release DVDs for only a $1 per night from the big red box. We know you know, because you've saved that dollar as part of redbox' Free Movie Mondays promotion, which is ending after May 11.

However, since so many of us could use an extra buck these days, redbox is going to keep the free flicks coming once a month throughout the summer. Beginning June 1, redbox will send a free movie code to your phone on the first Monday of the month as a thank you for using redbox.

Walgreens free rental code - DVDATWAG

I haven't tried this code myself yet, so I am not sure it works. It is supposed to be a code that works at Walgreens. If you try it, post to let us know it works. We only have one Wags in my area that has the Redbox and it is too far to drive if it doesn't work!

A new Redbox promo code has recently been reported as working. It appears that it was created to celebrate Redbox now having their kiosks in H-E-B grocery stores, but it is working at many different locations – possibly all locations.
