REDBOX code didn't work said invalid then went through a few more codes and finally BREAKROOM worked. I don't want to list the codes that didn't work just in case they work other places. Yeah thanks for the Post!!! My son is excited to get a movie!!

I tried BREAKROOM at my grocery store redbox about a week ago and it seemed like it was going to work (it let me select movie to add to cart, showed a total of $0, etc.), but then it said the code had already be used. Hmmmm....

FYI: the FIT text code from ambam above is a one time use only code. It cannot be used with multiple accounts/cards/etc.

Also the following codes were invalid for me last night, none of which I have ever used: MCDVD827, MCDMEDVD, 7HE79B

I have never used Redbox before, b/c the free codes NEVER work for me. Tried the new code today 8-3 and that didn't work either! Anyone know if the ones in Meijer or the ones in Michigan don't allow the codes? These are the only places I've tried. Thanks in advance- I'd really love to be able to get a free rental someday!

If you are not at an actual redbox.... (there are the main ones and then ones that just have the dvds) it wont accept codes... I went threw half the list on one and NONE worked... Then we tried a real redbox and all of them worked.. So perhaps thats the problem? HOpe it works for ya

Are all the codes in the original post for overnight rentals? Or do I have to bring the dvd back before 9? I have used BREAKROOM, DVDONME and DVDATWAG and those all worked for overnight rentals. Would love it if the other ones worked too, will try after this weekend. TIA

These are all overnight rentals. They take the $1 off which Redbox normally charges for one overnight rental. In case you don't know, if you have another credit card, you can use the code once on EACH credit card that you have.

from what I know, regardless of the time you took it from the kiosk that day, it has to be returned THE NEXT DAY on or before 9PM to any kiosk in the area. your card will not be charged.

btw, in my experience the prepaid cards from beer rebates work with this, too.

I think the code comes out on the first Monday, so it will probably be Labor day. I understand why they don't, but I really wish they would go back to weekly codes!

they no longer out a $1 hold on your card ... just so you know. i used my PP card which has no money on it right now and I was still able to get the DVD w/ the free code.

That is awesome! DH and I both have PP cards, but more often than not, there isn't any money in the account for I usually can't use them on the rentals. If I can use them for the freebies without money in the account, that would be terrific and get me a couple more rentals! THANK YOU for posting that!

Hi. I saw a post similar to yours on this thread. I am not quiet sure what the poster meant about the machine, but you can read over it and see if you know to what she is referring. Normally, the codes DVDONME and BREAKROOM will work for everyone on each credit card once. If all else fails, and if you haven't already done so, go to redbox.com and sign up for email and text alerts. They will normally send you the BREAKROOM code when you do this. If they do and it doesn't work, call customer service and ask about it. Their CS is usually great, and they will probably be able to tell you why it isn't working and give you a code that will work. it just coincided with Labor Day but it is the free code for the month of September.
