I'm just kind of curious. Those that have been able to use the Walgreens Register Rewards at their WalMarts, how long have you been doing that? A few months? A year? I'm just trying to get some additional information. Thanks, Della

I am not much help... but my Walmart told me it was ok about 3 weeks ago!

i just finally did my first time 4 days ago, they really did not want to take them and i did say they are amun coupons! and i also said if you want to call the manager over that find by me! i said this to the csm on duty and she told the cashier try and see if thy scan, well they scanned!!! hehe saved $5.50 off my total at walmart the other nite, i will be doing this a whole lot more now |

I used mine at Publix last week. It is my understanding that they are a manufacturer's coupon. The cashier scans it like a regular coupon.

I've tried using Register Rewards at Wal-Mart a few times - the first time being about 2 months ago. The first time worked with no problem - I just asked if they took competitor's coupons, the cashier said she would try, it scanned, so she accepted it. The second time was a few days later at a different Wal-Mart, and the cashier said no. The most recent time I tried was last week, and again, a no go. Both times I was denied, I didn't really fight it (though I usually do stand my ground when it comes to coupons), because there was a big line, and I wasn't really in the mood to argue ![]() Not sure if you have a Kroger around you, but I use them at Kroger all the time with no problem. mine in owosso let me this summer but suddenly said "nO".They said that corperate said they couldn't get reimmbursed for them.

omg so frustrated went to wallmart got like 100 dollars worth the stuff used 40 dollars in qs then handed my wallgreens rewards and the cashier said no maybe these young girls would let you use these but i will not exept them. I was so mad i should have gave all of my stuff back and left. so i said i would be calling her manager and got her name. so now that i drove all the way home the manager said he would make it right with me if i came back out. Awwww I would have went right to costomer service but we had already spent 2hours at wallmart and my two year old was getting tired. So I would like your opinions here what should i do call the main office

I have been using WAGS RR's for a while at walmart. But 3 weeks ago my cashier freaked out and said I was trying to use a Walgreens coupon at walmart, called over 3 different people that were in charge. After 30 minutes of getting frustrated they took them. I then posted an email to the store through the Walmart website, 2 - 3 days later the store manager called. He apologized and said they do take them and there shouldn't be anymore problems. Well, I wish he was there tonight. I had about $100 worth of goods, a lot of free q's that came with samples this week. When I finished giving her all my q's she totaled it and it was $30. I handed her $11 in RR's and they did it again. She called over a CSM and she was rude and told me I couldn't use them there. So I told them what happened. She was pissed, said she would take them this time. She then turned to the cashier and said she was keeping the RR's and going to security. She also stated that she didn't understand why I cared so much about the $11 in q's when I was getting so much for so little already. I asked if we could exchange information and if she could have the store manager call me again. Just let me know what is allowed, I just want them to be consistent. I don't have time to search out the latest flavor of the month on the coupon policy every time I choose to go to Walmart. So tonight another email will go out to the store manager, but this time I'm really angry. I spent over 45 minutes in line when it should have taken 10 to 15 minutes tops. I guess I'm going to have to learn how to roll RR's!! |

Although the email response from online said that they are going to send the information I provided up to their Marketing Department. I can't get any store to take them, at all. The DM's Assistant that I have been in contact with at WalMart hasn't replied to my email from last Wed (1/13) or Thur (1/14). I got a NO at my Walmart! I just wish they knew what they were talking about they make no sense in the store and gee the things they tell you about coupons I just want to laugh sometimes!

so got up before dawn i could not get it off my mind. The manager gave me all my cash back for my rewards and the cash for my buy one get one qs that she did not scan the night before 30 dollars worth. I was happy to get it settled but the manager was so not happy to serve me. I tried talking with her and she did not respond. I will not be shopping at the wallmart in ankeny Iowa anymore. Every time i go i seem to have a problem.

Okay, I've gotten a couple of positive responses from NCH (the coupon clearinghouse that WalMart, Walgreens, and Target -- of the major stores in our area -- use to process the coupons after WalMart/Walgreens/Target accepts them from customers), J&J, and GM. I forwarded those responses to Linda (Asst to David Fasci, the DM of our area) and she is following up (once again). And I keep getting to repeat: "Yes, I am aware that any retailer has the right to refuse to accept any coupon, but I'd like them to at least take a moment and listen to me instead of just seeing the Walgreens and saying no, because they wouldn't get reimbursed for it, when the clearinghouse says they would as long as the manufacturer's coupon policy is being followed." The reason for forwarding the info to Linda is that her previous response was that Corporate told her that the Clearinghouse told Corporate that WalMart wouldn't get reimbursed by the manufacturer if WalMart submitted a coupon that said "Redeemable at Walgreens." I disproved that point thanks to a nice lady at NCH. The basic text that I am sending to the different companies to ask this question is: ---------------- Hi, Walgreens, in agreement with a number of different manufacturers, issues what Walgreens calls "Register Rewards". They are Catalina Coupons. These are manufacturer coupons with a valid remit to address. If a company besides Walgreens submits the above Manufacturer Coupon, would they be denied payment? Or would the Manufactuer still pay the value coupon (since it is a Manufacturer's Coupon?) to the company that submits the Manufacturer Coupon? Sincerely, Della Hengel ----------------- Some of the responses: ----------------- Response from NCH ultimately was: The coupon copy you sent to me (Save $2.50 off your next shopping order…Thank you from Kraft) is a valid coupon sponsored by Kraft. The intention is that the consumer will use this type of coupon at Walgreens. This is indicated by the “Redeemable at Walgreens” language along with Walgreens logos. However, the top left corner of this coupon says “Manufacturer Coupon”, which means you should be able to be use it at other retailers besides Walgreens. As with any coupon, it is ultimately at the discretion of the retailer whether or not they will accept it, regardless of the product or value. But should a retailer other than Walgreens submit this coupon for reimbursement, the manufacturer (in this instance, Kraft) will most likely honor it and pay the retailer - as long as the coupon is being redeemed within the coupon policy standards. Randall's coupon policy clearly states, that we only accept manufacturers coupons. Catalina coupons from other vendors do not qualify as a manufacturer coupon.
