His sense of humor.... He truly makes me laugh. Today's story: I've been dying since yesterday to swing over to Kmart to search for some of the ads with the BOGO Trident coupon. I don't live near Kmart -- it is on the other side of my town. I do pass it when I take my son to karate. Today was my day to drive him and his friend to karate. After karate, I tell them we are going to quickly run into Kmart for a few ads. My Kmart has 2 entrances: the one we enter only has 2 of these ads. I take them both. We walk to the other entrance, only to find 2 employees standing over the table of ads. When I took one, they looked at me like I was doing something wrong. I don't usually get paranoid -- but they made me paranoid. ![]() Long story, short: After wandering Kmart (and doing the 'toy aisle tour') for about 10 minutes, I have a plan. The ad table is still being 'guarded'. We walk back to the front of the store, near the doors we entered. I show my son and his friend the front of the Kmart ad and I tell them: "We are going to leave through the other doors. Look at this ad. On the way out, I want you each to grab one of this ad. Don't ask why. I will tell you why when we get in the car. Just take one ad each." And as my son rolls his eyes at me (b/c he is 7 and he knows my coupon-crazy-ways), I say, "You could pretend you really want an ad" And in a very dramatic voice, my son looks at his friend and says, "You know.. I reeeeeally want an ad. Don't you want one?" His friend: "Yes" My son: "We neeeeed to get an ad. I really need one. Let's race to the ads" And off they raced to the ad table, where they each grabbed an ad and followed me out the door. This might be a "you had to be there to find the humor" story... but to hear my son's dramatic, overplayed tone of voice, it made me crack up.

| Oh yea... the coupon was in that School Supply Kmart ad. Unfort, those Kmart employees seemed to be standing guard over the main supply of ads. I only walked out with 6 (found a couple abandoned around the toy aisle... odd, but worked for me!)

Teach 'em while they're young! If I really want some extra blinkies, I just park the shopping cart in front of it and my 3 year old pulls them for me! I guess I'll be teaching her about peelies next! What a cute story, Lynda!
