Carina, Drive on over to lovely NW Indiana. Tax just went up to 7% here and no tax on food (except takeout.) Hoosiers commute to Chicago for work why not have Chicagoans commute to NWI for shopping? Although what you save on tax you'd probably pay in gas. Just can't win.

Rach...I was wondering about that. In one county it is 6.5% and yet in another one it must be 6.75%. When I bought marshmellows, the tax was either .20 or .21 on three bags ($3).

No tax on clothes or food unless it is like pop or apparently marshmellows.
