prayers! fyi all three of my dd's i had to have betas taken every other day for a month each and none of them EVER even came close to doubling, and they are perfect and healthy. i am sure yours will be too. keep us updated please.

The same thing happened with my sister's first pregnancy. Her levels didn't increase like they should have. They couldn't find a heartbeat in the ultrasound, so they set up a D&C for the next week. The day of the D&C, her doctor felt that God was telling him to do another ultrasound first, and he did, and there was a heartbeat!!! That baby is my niece Megann who just graduated from high school.
Take your time if you don't get the results you are hoping for at your ultrasound. Sometimes the wonderful world of medicine is not accurate. And you are early in the pregnancy. Please insist on another ultrasound a week or so later if they don't find a heartbeat in this ultrasound.
But I am totally expecting and praying that you will see the heartbeat Monday!!!!

I happen to have had 7 miscarriages and 1 still born. So, I kinda know that you are going through. I too had the same issue, my HCG level was not going up. Well, I do not have diabtes, I am hyperglycemic instead. However, they placed me on Glucophage and gave me progesterone supositories to inject up there. Well, the pregnancy was very tough, but I have beautiful kids, so its all worth it.

You will be ok, I have a good feeling on this one. Please let me know how you do on Monday, I am praying hard for you!!!

Do not worry yourself sick! With my pregnancy, I had elevated HCG levels. When combined with elevated levels of some other hormone (can't remember the name), it can be dangerous, BUT my doctor explained to me that elevated HCG levels ALONE are only an indicator that he needed to keep a closer watch on me, and that complications with elevated HCG levels ALONE are very, very rare. So, the extra tests are just precautionary!

Also, your HCG levels can be low because the baby is smaller or you are not as far along as the doctor calculated. Doctors do make mistakes, so hang in there!

I will definitely be keeping you in my prayers. If this is the same thing I am thinking of, when I was pregnant with my twins my levels were not coming up, they should be double with twins what a single pregnancy was, and they were only 12,000. They had me take a pill of progesterone and that solved the problem. Keep your head up and stand on your faith that God will bless your pregnancy. Ask about progesterone to your doctor though.

The power of prayer is stronger than anything, I am sending my prayers along with everone else. Just have faith that all will go well, this baby was put here for a reason. It is in God's hands. i have goose bumps reading this. the same thing happened to me almost exactly. my levals were not going up like the text book said they should so my dr ordered an u/s. no heart beat. he said it was a missed misscarrige and i should have a d&c done asap. i said no. i can't explain it, but i just KNEW he was wrong. he told me i could try and miscarry naturally, but he would need to monitor me and he gave me a time limit. well i had to go in every other day for betas, and an u/s the betas would only go up a couple of #'s or so (they are suppose to double every other day for a singleton pregnancy) and still no heart beat. this went on for a month. my dr finally said look, the baby is not living it was a bad egg, you have to have a d&c so you don't get an infection. i agreed to come in the next day and have one. i remember the walk into the hospital, i can remeber the exact words i prayed over and over..." god, please take my babys heart in your hands and make it beat".... well we did a final u/s right before i was to get the d&c and there is was. my dr actually fell to his knees and cried and prayed with me! that moment was the single most amazing moment of my whole life! thats the moment i found my faith in God. today grace is four and a half years old, and is perfect and healthy. she has two younger sisters who didn't follow the text book either but they are all three thriving, so please pray and follow what your heart is saying. i hate to think how diffrent my life would be right now if i had followed my drs advice and had a c&c that first day.
