A shift in the wind has thrown the smoke from the forest fire our way. I'm recovering from a sinus infection as it is, but I'm also an asthmatic. If you've got any breathing problems, stay in. I had to run out today for a couple of errands and am regretting it now! LOL *cough, cough*

This morning I went out for a walk with the kids I nanny for.... needless to say... it might not have been a good idea. The air here is not that great!! Cough cough

We were just talking about this at work! We can see haze from it in the distance. Haven't been outside to smell it yet though.

I'm in Wake Forest. I thought my house was burning when I got up this morning. It's gotten better this afternoon but it's still awful!!!

DH works in N. Raleigh and I'm in S. Raleigh at home. When I spoke to him at lunch it was really bad up there and just a little hazy here. But now it's more than just hazy and you can smell it here but he said it's better up there. So I guess it's moving south...ish. I'd go ahead and take them now just to be on the safe side.

This is unbelieveable! I l live close to Greenville and closer to the fire. I had no idea that the smoke had reached that far. We are definitely having alot of smoke.

Our soccer game got canceled tonight due to the darn smoke!

When I came in from outside my hair smelled like I was sitting at a campfire.

Lots of out door activities have been canceled in the Triangle as well. There was some music festival that was supposed to happen tonight at North Hills Mall, but no more! I feel so bad for the poor dogs next door! Not only is it hot, but it's smoky too!

I live on the Outer Banks and drove through it to get to my SIL's house in Cary, NC. The smoke followed us here. I made the mistake of letting my DD play in the neighbor's pool for a couple of hours in the smoke and she has been coughing for the last few days. I have learned my lesson and we will be inside for the next few days as well. I talked to some people from Richmond this past weekend and they have even been getting the smoke up there as well.

OMG! It is horrible here! It smells awful and is so thick it's hard to see. It's amazing that the smoke has drifted so far. I can't imagine how bad it must be for those of you closer to the fire.
