Do u have that 1 friend who no matter how crappy u think your life is, when u talk to her, your life seems like a dream? That may sound mean but I feel like my world is falling apart then I just talked to her and my life seems so good right now! Her kids father doesn't want anything to do with them, she is bragging that she finally qualifies for Section 8, telling me that she went out to clubs 2 nights last week, she has no money to buy her son new clothes and shoes, she is getting a dog, and put her 2 weeks notice in at her job last night. Now, this is all in 1 little im'ing session. I was writing her to gripe until she just kept on going. I try to be there for her but she is just 1 person that will never get her life straight. Do u have a friend like that?

Sure do!!! I think we all do....mine just can't seem to get her act together...is just barely 21 and has already been engaged twice and had numerous boyfriends...she thought each guy was "the one" Now she's planning on getting married this year and they're currently living with HIS parents...and his parents don't want them to get married and will kick them out when they do....of course she doesn't work and he can't support her...it's total drama. Not to mention her good friend (also a friend of mine) married her first fiancé last year...drama drama drama! What makes me sad is that she CAN help herself and get herself on her own feet with a little hard work...I think she's just not willing to do what it takes.

Yup I've got one (or maybe two). For me these are friends that I've been friends with awhile. Now the "habit" of our friendship is there and it's hard to split. I have tried to distance myself from time to time because I find them draining but it doesn't work very well. I think everyone has a friend or family member like this!

you know i have that friend.. and know i just got to the point when we talk.. I dont really say much about my life.. cause no matter what complaint I have.. she can top me in a matter of minutes...

When I stressed in my life though... I will put distance between me and her.. cause I have too much going on that i cant deal with her stress ... KWIM..

Not really... all my friends have wonderful lives and are doing really well and I'm happy for them... I don't think I could be friends with someone like that- a constant downer...which is probably why I have the friends that I do... if I need to lean on them I can and vice versa... but otherwise they are very positive people.

No! Do I know that person? Yes. I have had friends like her in the past. But I will not tolerate it. When it looks like it's going that way, I cut it off.

My neighbor is just like your friend! And she drives me crazy!! I hide most of the time so she can't find me. Have even put locks on the gates to my fence so she can't wonder back there!

I do. I have a friend from childhood who is in her 30's, has 2 teenagers, her and her husband just split up so she's living with her father, she's gone back to crystal meth(was sober for 8 years), she just got fired for getting caught (by the owner)having sex with her supervisor in his office and she calls me to complain about how bad her life is and says she needs to come visit! LIKE HECK she does! I flat out told her meth and people who do it are not allowed in my home around my 2 year old, sorry. I think she's mad at me now, but I just don't know how else I could've handled it.
