I am not letting myself spend any more money for the rest of the week unless it is on gas or milk! NO NO NO! we are doing really poorly on our spending allowance...i have made it $25 dollars a day...and right now my OOP is 28.44 average...so i am not doing it...i want to get ahead! ( i would love to be down to 20 dollars a day...but lets face it not going to happen right now...i am going to start here and work my way down!

I told my hubby that I wasn't leaving the house this week unless I had to because it cost me $75 to fill up my truck. I have to make that last as long as possible! Just stay on AFC all day and it will be over before you know it!

My guess is that's an average. $600 a month is $20 a day in a tyoical month.
I get myself in the same situation Danielle!
I have trouble not going for every deal thus spending more than I need to. It's like I can't afford to save any more money.

Is this $20 a day something for misc things or items that you are needing. Like groceries and what not? That is a lot for misc, but not too much for other things. Also take into consideration that you don't have to get every deal right now! there are always more to come around. I thought I had to have everything. (I am well stocked now) I really only get things now when they pay me or they are free. But that took me about 3 months to get to that point also. I hope that you will get it down where you need it to be!

My tank was on empty yesterday. I went to put $10 in just to run a few local errands. I took some books and clothes to resale and had to wait in line too. People are really feeling the pinch. Then I had to put another $10 worht of gas in before I got home. My $10 pit stops have turn into $20. Ugh!!

Wow I try to fill less than twice a month! I am trying to get it down to once a month. Summer is here now though so I shouldn't feel so couped up since we can just go outside.

Daniele, I call it a "spending freeze" when I don't leave the house. I try to do it a few days a week. Yesterday and maybe today I won't leave. We don't need groceries. I may go to SuperTarget tomorrow to use up some more of my coupons that make items free and scout endcaps, but even that should be less that $15. You just have to plan carefully. Unfortunately for me, I had to learn my lesson by spending too much money a few times and then realized my limitations.
