Theresa, you are very attractive (I saw the photo on the thread) so you will look good in this color. This is the style, the versatile dress. Go to Randolph Dukes website and see how he has his models in this type of dress. Try bringing the straps up the back and cross over just your shoulders. It may work. This way your back is covered and your shoulders have a cap sleeve on them. Usually this is a very flattering style. Theresa, try wrapping it several different ways. Try a brooch to secure the dress. Or purchase a caplet to cover your shoulders. Either way, take some pictures to share. You will look beautiful.

The dress looks nice in the photo; but not everyone can were it. When I got married about three years ago I picked out a skirt for all my bridesmaids to wear at David's Bridal and they were able to choose the top for the dress. All my bridesmaids are different sizes and shapes. When you look at my pictures you really cannot tell that everyone is wearing a different top. I'm so glad I did it that way. |

I let all my bridesmaids pick their own dresses. The only stipulation was that it was black, tea length with black sheer hose. It was gorgeous - they all had different styles on but the same color. I didn't even see what their dresses looked like until I walked down the aisle Each of them lived in different parts of the country so it was easier that way.

Wow! That is...delightful. And over 10 ways to wrap it. Well thank goodness for that. I have been a bridesmaid a whopping 13 times. When we moved I donated all of my bridesmaids dresses finally. My DH added up what I had spent on dresses and it made us both a little sick. ![]() I feel for ya Therbel! And worse that DH is in the wedding too. More expense for you guys. ![]() Linz |

Tootsie Roll is right. Try to make it look like the famous Marilyn Monroe dress.

For my wedding the dress was $152. It could also be worn again and all my bridesmaids have worn it again. I think that $270 is a little pricey, I was trying to find a pic to show, but oh well... It is sheer?? I don't know about that part. |

Bottom line: Bridesmaids dresses are a bad idea no matter what! I say you tie that scarf thingy into a HUGE bow on your butt. Or, make it into a floppy hat. |

| Woman, don't you dare let the fact that you're taller and weigh more than the others make you feel any less beautiful that day! You're going to look gorgeous in that dress!

OK ~ in the presentation the beige "romantic" looks like a toga party just waiting to happen! And the lady sitting on the left has floppy boobs ~ that style/tie isn't flattering on her.

Come to think of it ~ my wedding dress was under $200, granted that was a few years ago, but still.

My wedding dress was $100 and I was outraged. I kept whining that I was going to wear it one time and it wasn't even particularly comfortable. My mom suggested that if I was going for comfort perhaps I'd be better off getting married in my jammies and flip flops.

OMG! You are like the reality tv version of 27 dresses with this one! Have you seen it? Luckily this one isn't quite as bad as some of those. It is pretty bad though. I am so sorry! For once I'm almost speechless.
