We finally got our garden planted today!

We planted: 2 varieties of tomatoes, sweet peppers, squash and cucumbers. I also have some lemon balm in a pot on the deck, and will be picking up more fresh herbs since the Farmers Market started today.

Any tips would be appreciated! I'm trying to make my blue thumb turn green again. We raked our leaves for the past 2 years into the garden spot and let them 'compost', the DH tilled it all up - had to go over it about 3 times as it's still fairly clay-like in there.

I can hardly wait for that fresh, organic produce from my own back yard!

Good for you! This week I laid all new topsoil down (our dirt is clay also ) Planted tons of flowers and flower seeds. I have 2 tomato plants and 2 basil plants in pots on the porch. I just hope the torrential rains we had last night didn't wash everything away.

I got most of my garden done. Last night we had a hard freeze. I have 18 tomatoe plants, lots of onions, garlic. carrots, radish. Will have to wait a little while longer for the rest of the stuff. The nights are still pretty cold, not to mention it snowed Thursday and Friday.
