I just got a call from the NC Democratic party, and I get to go see President Clinton campaign for Hillary tomorrow morning! I can't wait! He is such an inspiring speaker and I am thrilled to get this opportunity. I really hope I get the chance to meet him as well. Now, what to wear?

I met him and Robert Redford at the Grand Canyon in 96/97. And one other time in DC that same year. Both times where school trips.

I got to meet him when I was attending school in HI ~ I got the 2 handed handshake too! I got to see Air Force One land and taxie then he met us as he was leaving the runway area. It was very cool being that close to someone famous.

Other than Brett Micheal's back in 1990 I don't think I've really gotten to meet too many famous people. It is funny because I have pictures of myself with Brett and now my DS is a fan of his reality show and is blown away when he sees Mom with this rocker.

- yes, I was the brunt of MANY jokes around that time! Even outside of the US!! We went to Thailand and at the customs counter in Bangkok the guy looked at my passport - looked at me and said Monica?! hahahaha He thought that was VERY funny.

Clinton totalled 12 years as the governor here in Arkansas...Hilllary was an awesome first lady and did a lot to improve education in our state. He promised in his last gubernatorial (sp?) election that he would not run for the presidency if re-elected as governor and then he did....I haven't paid much attention to what he has come out of his mouth since. Although I am not a democrat, at this point if I had to vote for McCain or Hillary, I believe I would lean towards Hillary. My reasoning? Anybody that could stand by her man as loyally as she has, could defintely be as loyal to her country. In my opinion, at this point, she is the only sensible choice and I have never voted democrat in a presidential election. Now, if Huckabee (another former Arkansas governor) or Ron Paul were on the ticket, I would go with either of them. There is just something about McCain I don't like....every time I see his face it just looks a bit too phoney for me, and his wife looks like a Barbie doll (plastic and all), which really bothers me

Just throwing this out here, Monica, since you brought that up. Why is it automatically assumed that she turned her back to it? Couldn't it be said that she took her vows seriously and worked hard to save her marriage in a difficult time? Why is it that so often when a man is unfaithful, somehow the wife gets looked at with some of the blame? I'm asking in a curious manner, not a nasty one. :o)
