I got a speeding ticket this mornig on my way to work, I got caught doing 87 in a 65 !!! DH is never going to let this one go!!! He is going to nag me to death about it!!!
(oh and I'm at work trying to kill time because I don't want to go home and rat myself out! )
Anyone got any really good excuses why I was speeding??

I was thinking about telling him I was pregnant, then when he freaked out, I could tell him I was kidding and then mention the ticket!!!

Update: So today in the mail I get an envie from Rntg83 () And in it was some really awsome coups and a packet of seeds for a plant called a "money plant" So now when Dh asks if I think money grows on trees I can answer yes!!!! TYSM Rntg, this totally made my day!

The real reason I was speeding is because I was too tired to get out of bed because I was up too late on AFC and needed to stop @ D &D's for some coffee! !

Yikes....that was fast! Do you get charged with reckless driving for 22 mph over the speed limit? They can do that here...

I got pulled over once for doing 39 in a 25 in front of a school (it wasn't in session at the time though) and I forgot to take my purse so I didn't have my license. So I asked the officer if this was a loss of points on my license and he said "yes, 2 pts. Why? Do you have a points problem" (meaning have I lost too many points already - I hadn't lost ANY, ever!) I said "no, I just have a husband problem, not sure how I'm going to tell him about this". So he finishes up taking my info and tells me I can go. I was confused, don't I have to sign something or something? He tells me "no, I'm not giving you a ticket so now you don't have to tell your husband, I won't tell him either" I was dumbfounded. So I went home and called my best friend and we speculated about why I didn't get a well deserved ticket and all we could come up with is that maybe the officer thought he was avoiding a domestic dispute later on. That possible answer had us all laughing hysterically since my hubby isn't that sort, he'd have been upset but gotten over it, which he did.

My husband is always the one to get the speeding tickets. He always has too tell me. One time his reason was that everyone was passing him and he just had too keep up with them or get run over. Try that one. It did not work with me but I know how mine drives.

Just go home and cause all of the blood to go from the brain that thinks and then tell him. He won't have a problem then...he will probably tell you to get more tickets.

Sorry about your ticket, my only speeding ticket was coming home from from the casino so it was a double whammy. I just cried when I told my hubby, it was honest tears I was so upset at the time...He wasn't happy but he knew I was already upset so he didn't say much.

No seriously, I would tell him..because my dh got a ticket and when I went and checked around for rates to lower my insurance and the girl stated there was a ticket on the SSN...I literally argued because I knew there was no way...I said something that night and he said the reason he didn't say anything was because he didn't want to hear what he was hearing now...my mouth was running because he made me look like a fool and a liar....

Honestly is the best policy....he'll get over it.....I did..

I told him that I got a ticket for gong 97 , he flipped!!! Then I told him I was J/k it's only for 80 mph!!! He got a chuckle and told me to ask if my AFC friends had any coups for speeding tickests!!!! !!
