More like: See what happens when you stay up half the night on AFC and can't get your butt out of bed, when you finally do, you realize there is not a drop of coffe to be had in your entire house, and now you have to be to work in 15 min, but it takes you 30 min to get there and you have to stop @ D&D 's for a humongo coffee, should have just stayed @ the AVE where no one cares if I'm late, because they are just happy if you show up!!!!!!!

Really, I work at a law office and you should check around and try and get the speeding charge amended if your state does the point system like MO does..that way it doesn't show up on your license!

Any advice on how to do this??? I have had 2 other tickets ( over the past 6 years) and both times I tried to fight it and lost!!! If I go to court the court fees will be as much as the ticket!!!
as for my "penance" I think I'm off the hook!!! DH is at FIL's house right now and brobably won't bew back until after I've gone to be!!!

At least he wasn't following you in his car, and both of you got caught! About 10-15 years ago, I was driving home and DH was following me, I was going about 45 in a 35 and got pulled over. DH was worried about me (he heard all those "stories" about women getting pulled over at night time). The cop talked to me first and asked if I knew who the person was behind us. He gave me a warning and then went and talked to dh and he only got a warning too. Thank GOD! That could have been a HUGE expense!

DH speeds too, but for some reason he has never been pulled over, or even gotten so much as a parking ticket!!!

Do you have any of those Traffic Law Centers around that charge like $49 to amend your ticket..it would guarantee that the charge would get dropped to a non-point violation like littering..you would still pay a fine and court costs, but would avoid any points...I know in MO if you have 8 points over a 16 month period they suspend your license..I don't think your other 2 tickets would count towards points since they are old, but they and this one would affect your insurance premiums if you don't get it amended! If you can't find a traffic law center, call up the court clerk on MOnday and ask if they will let you do driving school (its 3 hours) but will get your charge amended once completed! HTH

When I was about 6 years old I went to the conner store and filled a pillow case with "stuff", I then went up the counter slapped down all of the money from our monopoly game and went to leave, the owner almost wet himself he was laughing so hard!!!! He let me pick one thing from my sack -O- stuff and sent me home!!!!! My older brother still tells this story @ every holiday!!!!

I've always had good luck fighting tickets in NY. Was it a trooper? In my experience the trooper's are more reasonable than the town cops. Get to court early, find your police officer and ask them if they would be willing to give you a non-moving violation (no points). This is best case scenario but you may as well ask for it.
2nd choice: Ask for any other moving violation-2 pts.

3rd choice: Then ask if he would be willing to give you speeding 70/65. This will give you 3 points on your license.

Remember: if your officer doesn't show up the Judge will have to dismiss your case. I had this happen to me. The trooper came and made deals with everyone but never bothered to call my name and meet with me b/c he was in a rush. The trooper then filled in a court officer on what the plea deals were and the court officer "acted" for the trooper. When we approached the bench the court officer was all confused b/c he didn't know what to do with me-he didn't know about my case but he proceeds to tell the Judge what the plea is and I told the Judge that it wasn't right b/c the Trooper wasn't there and never bothered to discuss the case with me-he just left. The Judge dismissed it right on the spot. It was great!

I got pulled over last week... supposedly doing 70 in a 55. I don't usually speed in that area due to all the cops so I'm surprised that I was. Luckily, I got a really long lecture and a ticket for not wearing a seat belt- 0 points.

Have not had good luck with my first two tickets ( not give bty state troopers) , don't want to be SOL and have to pay court fines too!!! Not sure what I'm going to do!!!
