A friend on Twitter told me about a new app, Paribus. It automatically refunds you savings when something you bought online (at various retailers including Amazon and Macys) if the price comes down. They take 25% of the savings as their cut (you can lower it by getting friends to join).

This friend is a security NUT, so I was surprised when I went to login it requested my email password.

Wondering if anyone here has used the app? I have yet to sign up.

I heard about that app too, I would never sign up knowing that it requests my email password. That just ins't something they should ever need to have.

Just bc I was curious I made a brand new email acct just to check it out. Well then to get refunds from Amazon they need my Amazon log in and password. Nope. Deleted that app...

Amazon generally has a price guarantee. There are some restrictions but you might just be able to chat with Amazon and get the difference refunded.

Yeah I think I'll stick with dealing direct and just check back to see if the price went down!

Just a FYI if you have a Pinecone or Harris Polls account they are offering 300 points to let them have access to your email for online shopping. There is no way in hell I would give anyone my email password, then again I have to look it up since I don't remember what it is.
