I was at Kohl's with evening with DH. He was trying on some shirts in the men's fitting room.

Kohl's has their fitting rooms set up like a "t" shape. The rooms are along one wall and the entrance is from either the top or bottom of the T. It's a very "open" entrance. They also have small benches in the men's fitting room.

Anyway, I walk on it with DH and have a seat on one of the benches while he goes in a room and tries on clothes.

While I am sitting there a Kohl's employee comes in and says, "you know these are men's fitting rooms, right?" I said yes but I thought that based on the way there were designed anyone could come on in a have a seat. He said no because some men may come out in their underwear.

Ok, whatever. I leave.

As I am waiting outside another young lady walks in behind her DH and does the same thing as me-she takes a seat and waits inside. I see the employee talk to her and then she comes walking out all aggravated. I told her I got kicked out too.

I wouldn't go in the men's room at JCPenneys, for example, because it is clearly not "open".

So what does everyone else think about the Kohl's fitting room? Am I completely wrong on this one?

I have been in the JCPenney dressing room with my DH before. What kind of dude tries on underwear or strips to his underwear and then comes out and models? A dude who doesn't care who sees him half nekkid, that's who. If there are no mirrors in the actual fitting room, then I can see their point, but most men are coming out specifically to model for wives or girlfriends...otherwise they could just look at the mirror provided in the actual fitting room.

LOL -- I went dress shopping recently. DH was with me. I refused to come out of the dressing room with one of the dresses b/c I could not zip it. I had DH come INTO my dressing room to help me. The looks we got when we exited together.

Sorry... that was a tangent.
