Did anyone see the news story today about the mini price war in Toledo? Apparently, an error caused the price of gas to be $0.19/gal, at a Pilot gas station. To compete, the nearby Circle K reduced their gas price to $0.17/gal. How stupid was that? It only lasted about 3 hours. But, still, someone purposefully adjusted the Circle K price down to $0.17/gal. Just sayin'... it would have been smarter for the Circle K to rent a small tanker truck and load up on the cheap Pilot gas, to sell at their store - LOL. Anyway, gas is $1.39/gal, at my nearest station. But, since I had $0.33/gal in Fuel Perks, I filled up at the local Shell, which is at $1.49/gal. Made it $1.16/gal, for me.

Nice and cheap here... $1.51 yesterday. With the $1 fuel reward per gallon got to pay $0.51 a gallon for gas. DH was happy.

We're still above $2/gallon. $2.29/gallon for the cheapest at Costco today. Elsewhere it's around $2.55.

We paid as little as $1.23. However a recent price hike bumped it up to $1.33.

Yesterday I filled up @ Fry's for $1.19 gallon. It was $1.39 per gallon, but I had .20 off.

it jumped from 1.29 to 1.79 burb of Chicago within 2 weeks...
