You're at a store on a hot sunny day and there are only two parking spots available. One is right by the entrance of the store and has no shade, and the other spot is at the furthest corner of the parking lot and is completely shady. Which spot would you choose?

I chose the close on in the sun. It's closer for DS's little feet. That and I have a remote starter so the AC would cool it off before we got in

Depends how I feel that day and how hot it is. Probably the shady spot, my car wouldn't be so hot when I came back to it, and where I could walk and get the exercise then get more when I come back to my car and have to take it home and wash the bird poop off of it :rofl: (from experience this has happened more times than I would like to admit) from parking under a shade tree. LOL.

I picked shady 'cause the kids car seats get too hot in the sun - though I do carry around towels to put over them in just such situations....It would be a bonus if the shady spot were next to a cart corral with a truck cart in it!

I grew up in AZ and moved to NV. This desert gal says go for the shade!!!! Or better yet, don't go places that don't have covered parking! In the summer here, people hibernate like the winter in the East.

Shade for me..My AC isnt working right in my truck. Works for 10 mins. or so, then blow hot air..
