My friend's DD was on there this morning. She's the girl that was kidnapped and hidden in the bunkers about a year ago. I missed it because of work, but DVRed it. She's such a strong girl. I hope that doing all of these interviews won't be too hard on her.

If you missed it this morning, she'll be on Date Line tonight. Her story of survival and fight is absolutely amazing. I don't think I would have ever been as strong and creative as she was in the face of such horror and evil.

If you feel so inclined, I'm sure she could continue to use all of the prayers she can get. It's all still very hard for her sometimes.

I have to say.....I am REALLY glad that they are voicing the truth about the sherriff's dept and how they handled things. They really "labeled" her as a young, lower class hispanic girl....then decided (without any proof) that she'd run away. It wasn't until the text came through and the FBI got involved did they take it seriously.

I remember this case.. I am glad it finally came to light how it was mis-handled in the beginning.. Often times, some of these cases really do get overlooked and that isnt right..

I hope she continues to stay strong and can truly move on to have a happy wonderful life!

Wow, I saw that on the news the other night or maybe a preview of the show... how horrible for her! I have a 15yo DD myself and I would be BEYOND devastated if anything happened to her!

What an amazing and beautiful girl! I remember this story all too well. I sure hope that her abductor is getting/will get his due punishment. I'm sure he will. I'll keep her in my prayers.

Yes, he was sentenced a few months ago. 421 years without a chance for parol. Not enough, IMO....but it will do.
