| Extreme couponing and 11 year olds
One of the girls I work with coupons with me. She stopped in for a minute today when I had a group of 20 6th graders. When she left, one of the kids asked if we were extreme couponers. I said "No. We are couponers but not extreme." All of the kids started chiming in with "My mom watches EC!" or "You should be an EC'er" or "EC is amazing!" or "What is the difference?" and "Why wouldn't you be an EC'er since you coupon?" I couldn't help myself. I realize this is NOT what is meant by a teachable moment but our flute lesson went on hold and I tried to explain about coupon limits and shelf clearing. I got a LOT of blank looks. I didn't know when to stop, I just kept digging my hole deeper and making them more confused about why certain things are bad and the reality of store policies. Finally I said "Who wants to have a flute lesson?" and every hand shot in the air. That was 6 minutes probably wasted.

LOL!!!!! my daughter is 12 and she loves to coupon with me BUT she gets exhausted early and loses interest in the middle of trips so I didn't take her the last couple times. When I try to explain how things work she zones out hahaha! She said she wants to go with me but I think it's because she likes to eat the candy when I get fillers |

My 10 yr old DS is the same way. My 16 yr old DS will go with me without complaint if he gets to practice driving.
