Does anyone else have skype? I got it online because my DH is 1000 miles away from his family in Toronto.

I was just curious if anyone else skyped?

Yes, we have Skype - we use it to talk to my folks who are about 20 minutes away and my sister and her children who are currently living in Morocco. The video doesn't always work all that well when we talk to my sis - but I think that's because their internet service is crappy over there.

Also, both my folks and my sis have MagicJack for $19.95 a year - that's a tremendous money saver when it comes to calling overseas!

We use Skype all the time! It's all inside the US tho, and often right in the house LOL. My son will skype me if he wants something of to remind me of something. The epitome of lazy!

I love MagicJack, have used for 2 years. But only in the US.

We have and use skype. DS is three hours away going to college and fall semester DD was 6 hours away at college. It is a nice way to actually SEE them when you talk to them. We also have family in different parts of the country and use it to talk to them occassionally.

DS and I also use it often if I'm helping him work on a huge college paper, doing some research for him, etc. It's an easy way to work on something with someone who's not sitting next to you!

We have skype but rarely use it. I had hoped to be able to skype with my elderly mom, but she can't remember how to do it! I love it for showing new art projects to my son who lives 2,000 miles away. The only problem is catching him when he's home!
