I am starting to think I have a problem. Here are the signs:

1) When I email my friends and family with ideas, links for freebies, coupons, or tips, I half expect them the click the 'thanks' button to thank me.

2) When my mom sent me a link for a freebie today that I signed up for a week ago, I had to control my urge to reply "Repost".

3) I refer to my husband as DH when I am thinking about him.

4) I have dreamed about some of you (nothing weird, we were shopping together).

5)I am starting to use 'CVS' as a verb. Ex: "I can't wait to go CVSing on Sunday." or "I haven't CVSed since Monday." or, my fave, "Since I am PMSing, CVSing would be a good idea 'cause I can get some M&Ms for free!"


So, what are your signs and symptoms of an AFC addiction? Add them to the list!

* My husband says "They are coming to arrest you one day!" every time I walk in with more CVS bags (for getting such "steals")

* My daughter's boyfriend asks what I got HIM for free at the store this week. (he loved the 50¢ Oreos from Food Lion!)

* I have run out of places to stick my stockpile items.

* I have enough razors to last 'til Jesus comes back.

* Hubby told me our cabinets were too full, so I "had to" start an AFC auction to make room. LOL

* On the short drive to work (20 minutes), I'm scared I'm gonna miss a good deal! I check AFC's "new posts" as soon as I arrive. (shhhh, don't tell my boss!)

Instead of saying "Mama goes to work" like he used to, DS (2 1/2) now says "mama go to C-B-S!" (he has trouble saying "V"

3. When you are post menopause and get excited about stayfree being a money maker!

2. When you won't babysit over Sat. nite cause you can't get up early on sun am and hit the CVS sale!

1. When you come back from lunch with a CVS sack in your hand and the 'guys' at work say "I don't want to know how much you spent, I want to know how much you saved"

1. You often postpone peeing b/c your busy reading posts
2. The entire neighborhood comes to you when they can't get to the store and they need something
3. You have an entire binder dedicated to CVS and their coupons
4. When anyone says that they need to buy anything your response is "I have a coupon for that"
5. You upgrade your internet so that you can "save" money by viewing the website quicker

when I don't go to bed like wednesday night and stay on afc all night long,get the kids up,take them to school, and get back on afc for another 3-4 hours in between going to cvs.

won't be long before I start getting in trouble again from the wife.

When I walk into CVS and ask them if a specific item has "ECBs"...and the cashiers look at me like I'm crazy...then I have to say, "Oh I mean Extra Care Bucks!"

My DH says: * "What am I going to tell our children when they come arrest you for getting to many frees at Target."

*My stockpile now takes up an entire shelf in the storage room at work.

*When other shoppers see your coupon notebook while you are out shopping, you get nerves and panic because you are afraid that they will follow you to your car and steal it.

*As soon as I get home, before I put up the groceries, I add up how much I saved on my receipt and tell whom ever will listen.

*The first words out of my mom mouth after she knows I went shopping is, "Ok tell my what you saved."

When you speak "AFC" to your family and friends. I forget that they don't know ECB, blinkie, peelie, etc.

When your toddler grabs your coupons and runs away, screaming, "My coupons!"

When you give stuff away to make more room in the closet.

I always bring my adorable baby with me when I shop, because I don't get hassled about my coupons.

When you only shop on certain days, because that's when your favorite cashier is working.

And that's all I can think now!!

**You actually bought a friend a CVS giftcard (well, rolled ECBs into a giftcard) for Christmas and give her scenarios to make the most ECBs.

**When telling people about the site, you say things like "Adamsmom has a sticky of all the $/$$ coupons" causing the person you are talking to to say "Do you actually know these people?" And not stopping there, you go on to brag that you are one of AFC's "Top friends"

**You've had to explain more than once to your family and friends what a coupon train is and why it is good.

**When you see people with coupons and ECBs you try and remember which members live in your area and try to guess what their screen name is.

**You are on first name basis with every employee at more than 2 CVS stores.

**And they say things like "you got your hair cut" or "I haven't seen you yet this week" when you walk in the door.

**And they are your myspace and facebook friends or they e-mail you and ask if you have seen such and such deal and did you know that there were printable mfr coupons you can use with the ECB deals.

Not that I am speaking from personal experience or anything!

This happened to me at Krogers. Gathered all my groceries and turned around and all my coupons and organizer was gone. I was so upset....for days.

Here is one more that just came up tonight after dinner because I haven't put up all the groceries from yesterday and DH can't clean up the kitchen because all the stuff piled on the cabinet:

* You have enough stockpile of food if there was a shortage of food in the U.S. and everyone else was going crazy at the grocery store; you could eat for a good 6 to 12 months from your own pantry....possibly longer

when you spend an hour and a half on afc during library day in the library while the librarian teaches you how to use research databases.



luckily i already know how to do those and my prof was sitting way at the back busy on a computer so no chance of him noticing !

omg. Must be a kroger thing. many years ago I was in a kroger and left my cart for just a second. Came back and Q's were gone. My purse was still there. (back then if I had one of anything i thought I was something). Evil Q people.

When I spend more time on AFC than I do my own board that I own and I post a link to AFC when I dont let anyone else post links and I charge for advertisement.

i just need to join a afc anonymous. LOL just kidding I would refuse to attend LOL
