DH got me a Keurig for Christmas, which is awesome, but I have tons of coffee to use up. Does anybody know where to get a cheap reusable filter? The cheapest I've seen online is around $17 - ouch! That's a lot to spend in order to save by using regular coffee. TIA

Bed bath and beyond had one for $14 ,a red cup ,and you can use the 20 % off coupon.

Get the filter anyway. The regular cofee is a ton cheaper than the Keurig cups. DD uses hers all the time. She buys the cups only when there is a great deal.

I would try Bed, Bath, & Beyond and use the 20% off coupon. Sometimes Kohl's has them on sale. If you grind your own coffee you want to have a coarse grind otherwise the water will just run right through the grounds and your coffee will be very weak. We use the Starbucks Morning Joe (buying when on sale & with coupons and you get a free tall cup at Starbucks), it's a nice flavorful cup of coffee. HTH

I was told that they leak, by 2 of my friends. I buy the k cups only when they are a good deal of I use the 20% off coupon from BBB.

I got one for my husband off Amazon for 10.78. It was the Ekobrew one, and it seems to work very well so far.

I got the keurig brand one from Kohls. I want to say it was on sale for 19.99 and I used a $5 off coupon and a 20% off. I haven't had any problems with it.

I got the Keurig brand filter when I got my Keurig last January. I ordered a package of two of the inserts from Amazon, now have 3. I use them everyday and they have not leaked yet. I really enjoy my Keurig but can't always afford the K-cups.

I bought one yesterday at Walmart for about $17, but may return it and get the one from BBB! I am such a tree hugger, and the little cups were driving me crazy with the wastefulness. We got the mini brewer for Christmas from inlaws (and we only drink coffee rarely) but DD has started using it with decaf, so I thought that might be the way to go as we also have a bunch of coffee and I got some on clearance at Target (starbucks after the holiday).

we have this its the best one in my opinion.

I invested in the filter and love the darn thing. I can make my coffee stronger and more to my liking vs the pre measured cups.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the hot chocolate ones, are they watery or do they have good choc flavor??

We love our keurig and use cheap kcups when we have them. But we also have the red refillable kcups from BBB. Its our third. The first black one got thrown out by mistake we think. Lol. And the next one - red - kept leaking and would sometimes just be water in the cup. I would always get blamed for the bad coffee. Now all is well and works great.

I love the hot chocolate ones! I have to say the Swiss miss brand are my favorite

We just got one for Christmas & it came with the Keurig filter. My husband thinks the k-cups are better & the filter doesn't do as good of a job with the coffee. I wonder if it's worth trying a different brand of filter? We have a lot of regular coffee to use & the k-cups are too pricey.

Keep playing with it..sometimes if its to packed it doesn't work also.

I was looking at my last post thinking hmm its only 1/7... then I realize it was from jan 2012! Lol
