That's right. Mr. Coffee was not there. He left me hangin'. Has anyone else had a crappy experience with the Mr. Coffee maker?

This past week, I had my timer set (as always) to have a nice pot of coffee waiting for me when I got up. Came downstairs one morning to find the coffee pot ON, but no coffee. (And the water and coffee had been added). I"m thinking.. ......Fire hazard. Then the next day.....set the timer again. Come downstairs to find no coffee again. This time, the bleepin' coffee is in the top with the filter AND the water, but never went down into the pot.

Now, I quit setting the time rfor the past few days, (cause I was afraid of a fire), and just made coffee when I got up.

This morning I put in the water, and the coffee, turn it on.......

NOTHING.

Needless to say, I've been a little on the crabby side today. I was wondering why I had a headache this afternoon.

Wasn't planning on having to buy a coffee pot right now. Guess I'll have to see if CVS has them!

your too funny. You sound just like me. Can you perhaps return it? or try calling Mr coffee himslef perhaps they would send you a new one or something. I guess since i just said you are just like me you are probably thinking YEAH GREAT MAB BUT THAT DOES NOT GET ME COFFEE TOMORROW MORNING!!

Get the Senseo pot. It is so awesome. It''s so quick and the coffee comes out better then a normal coffee pot!

Call Mr. Coffee or write to e-mail them explaining whats wrong with your coffee pot, and they may just send you a new one, its worth a try...Good Luck...

My brand new Gevalia coffee pot did the same thing. HELLLOOO -- some things are necessary. The very nice Gevalia lady had one on my door step in a week at no charge!

In the mean time ...... We have a French press in the cupboard for EMERGENCIES. Also --- I have a stash of Excedrin Migraine for caffeine withdrawal headaches. They will work in a pinch.

I just picked up a new Mr. Coffee w/timer yesterday at Target on sale for $24.99. I had a Gevalia for over a year and cracked the pot in the sink. I originally went in looking a canister, but when I saw that they were $14.99 and the whole thing was $10 more.......I just did it! I did see the ones that were held for BF and didn't care for them. Compared to how big the Gevalia one was sitting in this space, this one is just cute.
I now realize how hard it was pouring water into that little space every night compared this big opening in Mr. Coffee. I also missed the regular coffee filters, my Gevalia had the cones.

I got rid of Mr. Coffee years ago. I hated the carafe - I would pour more coffee on the counter than in my cup. I have a Hamilton Beach and I LOVE it. The only bad part is if you make coffee in the morning and leave home for the day - when you come back in the evening it smells like you have a fresh pot of coffee waiting for you.
