so this is my 2nd kiddo and i'm 37 weeks tomorrow and dialated to a 3 already as of wed(dr even said she does not think i will last till the 2nd of jan for c-section on wed)! i have been having contractions ALL day anywere from 1-5 minutes apart and this evening they were stronger with the urge to push but then they stoped and i have not had any more since! i'm so excited but nervice since i never had contractions with dd and thank god i don't remember the pains of labor when they induced me! i just had to share what was going on thanks for hearing me

Oh my gosh thats wonderful news...what a great Christmas present that would be...so I see your having a little boy, thats sooooooo nice....praying you have a healthy and fast delivery or maybe a C-section... please keep us posted.....good luck....

Your contractions and then stopping sound a lot like when I was in false labor at 38 weeks w/DD. For 2 hours they were 5 minutes or less apart and DH finally convinced me to call the OB who of course told me to get to the hospital. (DD was breech and I knew I had to have a c-section but I was in denial and wanted to put it off as long as possible.) I was checked in at midnight and sent home the next morning b/c everything stopped! Nothing at all until 2 1/2 days later when I went into labor for real. The Dr even called me at home the next day b/c they all assumed that even though I was sent home I would definitely be back in within 24 hours. Good luck to you and your new baby who is probably coming this weekend!!

BTW - I also thought it was nice in a weird way to have actually experienced labor contractions even though I knew I was going to have to have a c-section. :-)

Good luck my daughter in laws 31 weeks and we were all just feeling that baby move around until they left a few minutes ago. Babies are wonderful I had 3 C sections and did okay--- hope you have your bundle of joy soon. My "baby" is six-- yeah I wasn't done being a mommy and he was so excited to feel his neice move tonight.

i'm still home no baby yet! today has been a pretty calm day compaired to yesterday! i did have about 6 contractions through the night that were really intence but nothing came out of it all yesterday! i'm taking it very easy today and not doing much! hoping since i have a dr's apt monday (don't live in the town were my dr is or were there's a hospital to give birth in) to just keep taking it easy today and tomorrow and monday morning before my apt do some cleaning and then go shopping and maybe that will dialate me to were i need to be to get the ball rolling.

hmm sounds like you are in the nesting stage (cleaning) means you probably be, going into labor very soon, because most people get that urge to clean and do all kinds of other things.

had dr apt monday and sadly i'm still dialaed to a 3! still no baby so now i'm just taking it easy making sure he's not born to close or on christmas i don't want to do that to a poor kiddo! one of my sister's birthday is the day after x-mas and i just can't imagin how much it sucks! now when ever i get up to do much of anything i have a contraction but if i sit and take it easy i don't have any! and i have been having some good one's in the night! luckly my dr perscribed me some ensomena pills that i have been taking that helps me sleep! the only reason i have been even trying to do much of anything is i have one of my sisters is coming when baby's born and i'm trying to make sure the house is not too much of a wreck and it will be nice it being all clean when i get to come home with baby! and by gosh right now all my energy is just going for picking up after my 4yr dd and since she's home from school the house has been more of a wreck!

Oh tinkerbell...I hope you don't go now until after Christmas, so your home with your daughter, but when your little one wants to come out and met you, then he will good luck...and please kep us posted......

Best of luck! I was dilated to 3 for a month and still had to be induced with my first baby. You just never know what's going to happen! Maybe he'll wait until after Christmas!
