A woman who lives in my general area is missing. Her name is Jessie Marie Davis. I do not know her, but she is in my prayers along with her family. "No one apparently has spoken to the 26-year-old Davis, who is nine months pregnant with a baby girl, since Wed. night. After too much silence, Porter (her mother) went to her daughter's house, only to find Blake (Jessie's 2 yr. old) soiled, thirsty and hungry." .....Quoted out of Akron Beacon Journal 6/17/07 "Porter said she has barely slept since Friday, when she made a horrific discovery at her daughter's duplex. Inside the house that morning, she said Blake uttered phrases such as "Mommy's gone," "Mommy was crying," "Mommy broke the table" and "Mommy's in the rug." The disturbing thing about this is that a red comforter trimmed in gold along with a white sheet~is missing off of Jessies bed. A mattress had been pushed up against a table causing a lamp to fall. Bleach had been poured all over the carpet. There was an empty bottle along with one that was almost empty. There wasn't any sign of forced entry. The grandma entered thru the patio door which was closed but unlocked. The little 2 yr. old came running and crying to her when she walked in. They are thinking that the little boy could have been alone for as long as a day and a half. Authorities speculate that the 2 yr. old definately saw something. They think that he is saying "Mommy is in the rug" because the comforter is missing off of her bed and was probably used in some way. Bless that little boy's heart. This whole story just gives me chills up my spine. I am praying for them all. They say in the paper "it doesn't look good." According to the newspapers, Jessie was having a relationship with a married Police officer. They had Blake together and this would be their second child together. (He has 2 daughters of his own.) They are saying that the Police officer and his wife have been set to divorce and live apart. Apparently she knew about Jessie. They have questioned the officer and his wife. As of this morning's papers....Jessie's family and friends were handing out flyers at a nearby Walmart. Please keep them in your prayers too!!!!! Last edited by LisaArbo; 06-17-2007 at 10:59 AM. |

Thank God the grandma went to the home. She said she talked to Jessie 5 times a day. She had last spoken to her Wed. night. The father was supposed to be picking up Jessie on Thurs. morning. When she didn't hear from her on Thurs. she just thought maybe Jessie was resting and taking some time to herself. But when Jessie didn't drop off Blake on Fri. morning (as she always does) on her way to work........the Grandma said she got a bad feeling, and got in her car and went over there. Evidently the father never picked up the child.....he couldn't get a hold of Jessie late Wed. night. The officer's wife (according to the paper) was at work, as a nurse, on Fri. morning but left early. The paper said they were trying to locate the wife to talk to her. Now in today's paper (Sun.) it says they DID talk to her AND the officer. This story really, really bothers me. I keep thinking about that 2 yr. old. |

The father of the 2 yr old was expected to visit hours after grandma spoke to Mom. The father's wife is a nurse. She left work early on Friday morning and can't be located. I say the wife had had enough! Hubby fathering 2 children by this woman ~ now double the child support! I would think a nurse might have knowledge that you and I might not. But they don't find fingerprints! The 2yo indicated that mommy left in the red comforter that was in the bedroom. I bet they will get more info out of him but won't release it until she is found and arrests made. My first thought was someone wanted the baby girl ~ I have read stuff where they kidnap and just want the newborn (sorry Monica, don't want to scare you!)

My goodness, this is just awful and scary but seems to be happening more and more these days. I wish they would find her alive but that usually isn't the case. That poor little boy. I just do not understand how some people can find it so easy to take another ones life just to ease a problem for themselves. ![]() My thoughts and prayers certainly are with this family Lisa. My son had a game tonight, and so we were sitting at an ice cream shop afterwards. Nancy Grace came on the tv mounted up on the wall. It was mute, so I couldn't hear anything. They were showing the transcript of the Grandma's 911 call when she got to the daughter's house.......and showing people searching. So, so sad. I don't think there is anything new. They showed a photo of the police officer/father/boyfriend and in big letters thru his name it said "NOT A SUSPECT". I don't know what to think. I saw some of it on the Early Show this morning, but it wasn't on the Today show (as far as I know). I thought it would have been. Either they aren't getting any leads, or just aren't talking about it. I think I "saw" on Nancy Grace something about how her cell phone records showed no other calls other than when she talked to her Mom Wed. night. Keep her and her unborn daughter in your prayers. |

Still looking for this pregnant woman. Yesterday they read the policeman/father his rights twice and did a 5 hour search of his house. They keep saying that he still isn't a suspect. Yeah, right. I have a feeling that the toddler said more than what the public has been told. I have been glued to "Nancy Grace" every night. I just hope they can find her and her baby so they can get some closure. I can't even begin to imagine having to go thru this!!! A parent's worst nightmare. A massive search is going on right now with thousands of people/volunteers! Always in my prayers................................. |

Hey Lisa, i'm also following this story...remember a few years back when a pregnant lady was abducted in Ravenna....the baby was delivered via c-section by the person who abducted her and then the crazy lady killed her and pretended the baby was hers for like weeks or something. Authorities found the poor deceased lady buried in the garage of the crazy ladies house. That was 5 miles from my house! Those type of things make me so sad. So much promise and hope and then the unthinkable happens.

| Thanks for keeping us up on this story. For whatever reason - maybe because my DIL is expecting - this story just grabbed my attention. MY first thought, when I read that the father is a policeman, has another child with the young woman, AND his wife left him, was to suspect the father.... |

My boss and I are following this story as well. It is just kind of sad that we can figure out the ending on our own, ya know? This guy's story just is not adding up. I wish that he had nothing to do with it but it's pretty obvious.

I felt really bad watching the Grandma on Nancy Grace last night. She said that all she wants is the truth and that the man they are "looking at" is the father of her grandson, and she got really choked up....... They are hoping to find her soon because~~~if God forbid~~~ she is found dead, they want to be able to see what the cause of death was. Did anyone see the interview with the other court lady where Jessie's sister took her on a "tour" of the house. Her twin sister Whitney(Jessie's twin) took her in all of the rooms.....even the bedroom. In the toddler's room they showed the toddler's bedroom. Whitney said that he wasn't allowed to eat in his room, but there were bread crumbs on his bed........of course the little guy must have gone and gotten whatever he could find to eat. They also talked about how maybe IF it was the father who did it, maybe the toddler was left alone, since the father knew that the grandma would eventually come and check. Any MAYBE he left him something to eat........it's all just too weird speculating on all of this. Sure makes you think. CM~~yeah, this does bring up memories of that Ravenna lady. The pregnant lady was befriended by someone in Walmart (pretending to be pregnant too). I think the crazy lady knew the pregnant lady had an automobile for sale, and used that to get the conversation to where they were going to meet about it. Then the crazy lady took the baby (she had read about c-sections) and I'm thinking they found her within a couple days due to cell phone records. The crazy lady killed herself, and the baby boy was okay. Super scarey time in this world. |

From Cleveland News Channel 5 website.......a friend told me that she heard a grave was found about a mile from the missing woman's house...... Searcher Finds Fresh Pile Of Dirt While Looking For Woman 2,500 Volunteers Help Search For Missing Mom POSTED: 8:16 am EDT June 20, 2007 UPDATED: 3:09 pm EDT June 21, 2007 UNIONTOWN, Ohio -- A man helping to look for a missing pregnant woman in Stark County said he came upon a fresh pile of dirt Thursday. About 2,500 volunteers are helping in the search, NewsChannel5 reported. Jessie Marie Davis, 26, has not been heard from since June 13. Her mother found her 2-year-old son Blake alone June 15, and her Lake Township home in disarray. She is due to give birth July 3. The searcher said he was the second one at the scene and found a 6-foot by 3-foot area of fresh dirt near an ATV path. The searchers were then rushed behind yellow tape to give their statements to officials. Authorities have closed off Highland Park Road where the dirt was found and brought in cadaver dogs. The searchers are looking through a 12-square-mile area from the Summit County line east to Market Avenue and Heckman Road to Mt. Pleasant Street. There are 20 separate teams spanning the area. "They're going to help us find Jessie, hopefully, bring her back safe," said the missing woman's younger sister, Whitney Davis, who wore a T-shirt with her sister's picture and the word "Missing" in red letters. Officials said anyone wanting to search had to fill out paperwork and show a driver's license. Lisa Dillon of Jackson Township said she took a vacation day to help. She said her heart goes out to the family. Searchers will be aided by sonar equipment and a small drone airplane equipped with a camera. Texas EquuSearch is leading the search for Jessie. The national group also helped in the search for Natalie Holloway in Aruba in 2005. The mounted search group and its founder, Tim Miller, met with Stark County authorities. Miller said his group expected about 200 volunteers, and the large response delayed the start of the search. "It's overwhelming. It's almost out of control. But we're going to make it happen," he said. "I think every single rock will be turned over on this search." Miller said his group has found more than 300 missing persons alive and has 71 cases in which they have found the body of a missing person. Miller's 16-year-old daughter disappeared and was murdered in the 1980s. |

They found her body and arrested the boyfriend for 2 counts of murder. They haven't released more information. Rumor that they found the body in Myers lake and Bobby Cutts Jr and another person is also involved..Also read the boyfriend led the police to the location where the body was found.. I feel numb, I was hoping at least this time it would be different and they would find her alive in some basement or somewhere. |
