Right after the deregulation, my next-door neighbors got in on the ground floor of Stream Energy and their program. I believe my neighbors get some money for getting people to switch over, in a kind of pyramid-type thing. Last summer after $300.00+ electric bills for just 1 person in my small house, I decided I could no longer afford TXU. I switched to Stream Energy, locked my rates in for 2 years, and have not been sorry. TXU has offered all kinds of incentives to come back to them, but for now, I'm quite happy with another company............
