| $15 off at Olive Garden
Today at 5pm My son and I went to Olive Garden for dinner. I was almost finished with my bowl of minestrone soup when I noticed a curly black hair at the bottom of the bowl . .GROSS!! . . I felt ill. I have blond hair. I sat still for a few moments and wondered if I should complain. I showed the bowl with the gross black hair to the waiter. Then, a minute later a manager was at our table giving me a $15 gift card for next time and telling me there would be no bill for dinner, but I felt ill. Almost three hours have passed and I still feel a little ill. Has something like this happened to any of the AFC members? Did you complain? |

| ABSOLUTELY!!! You SHOULD complain. That's nasty and very unsanitary and very careless. I don't think I would be in any rush to go back to that Olive Garden.... |

oh yeah! complain for sure!! i went to the olive garden the other day and i had a coupon for $3 off any meal. but the fine print said " can be use for $1.50 off of one meal". so when i went to pay the waiter told me i can't use it cause it says off of two. i showed him the fine print that said it could be use for one and he still refused. so.....i figured up his tip should have been about $1.83....so in the folder i left my coupon which in my mind is $1.5 plus 33 cents i usually tip very well, but he was so wrong!!!hope he figures out a way to make that coupon work so he gets his tip. |

Seems that both of you need to go online to Olive Garden's website use their "contact us" link and state your experience. You may get some personal satisfaction as well as tangible satisfaction. Last weekend I spent the day in Chapel Hill at the 50th class reunion (class of 1957) with my DH the "graduate." We were very tired with all the day long activities and ate on campus at a "do" that evening as well as lunch (formal luncheon - very classy). Well, about 1 a.m. Saturday morning I awoke my husband being very sick on my stomach. Don't know what it was, but I was sick through Sunday. Sometimes the experience makes you "feel ill," and sometimes the stuff really "makes you ill."

Thanks for the idea. I went to the online site to let them know exactly what happened. It is Saturday afternoon and I still feel ill. My friend said that if each consumer would complain when they saw something ickly, gross or sickening the quality of our food and service would improve!! |

Glad they responded promptly! I love Olive Garden! If you get grossed out easy.......read no further..... We have a Red Robin restaurant which my family goes to sometimes. A couple of years ago a lady was having a salad. She noticed she was chewing on something peculiar......turns out whoever cut up the stuff for the salad.....cut off a sliver of his finger....with the fingernail piece still on it. No one ever threw out the salad......and you guessed it. The lady showed it to management.....almost or did throw up......and there was a big to-do about it to say the least. (When she looked at it, she THOUGHT it looked like a piece of a finger or thumb.) We didn't go there for a LONG, LONG time, even though I know weird stuff can happen anywhere. There business really suffered for a while, but it's back to normal now. ( We were there yesterday actually!) |

| Good Show!
Glad you received positive validation of your complaint. Management usually wants to know when something is not up to standard and will be gracious about it. Have a good day and enjoy your next visit to OG and spending that $20. ![]() GrannyGodley Quote:
