I don't bake cookies for my kiddos Christmas program tomorrow and just take in a package of Keebler cookies that I got cheap at Target? ![]() I just "nested" on the kitchen and now I'm exhausted!! I didn't mean to do all that I did, but one thing led to another and soon drawers were being cleaned out, reorganized, sorted and walls were being wiped down as well as appliances, doors, windows washed, etc. ERGH! All I was supposed to do was the dishes and bake cookies! That was just nuts! Not to mention I have already been having lots of pre-labor cramping (I forget how they are spelled... yah, I've had multiple kiddos and I can't remember how to spell a brah-x-ton- hick thingie-ma-bob... which I'm having right now! Can't breathe! ergh...) OH and my feet/legs are swelling. I'm 7 months along and not overly concerned or anything but... ![]() Is that a bad thing to take a package of cookies in instead of baking something? I feel bad... I won't have time in the morning. We are supposed to drop them off in the morning before church starts. I might sit here for a bit and see what happens...

LOL...no way!! I even know of someone that took rice krispie treats (purchased ones) out of the wrappers and cut them up and put them in tuperware like they made them!! Maybe make some filling with frosting and whip cream (or whatever you have on hand) and make cookies sandwiches... creative..and quick!!

I doubt anyone will even care! They all know and understand you have kids and are pregnant with another. Plus you will be taking something people will know if they like or not, and not something that they are looking at wondering if they should try it or not....

Sounds good to me. Cookies are cookies and the kids will like them just the same. Homemade is nice, but half the time they're stale/burnt/dry anyway so maybe people will appreciate it. Get some rest and enjoy your newly arranged kitchen. :-)

I'd just take them out of the Keebler package and put them on a plate or one of those plastic reusable containers. . I am sure the kids won't care if they are made from scratch or not!

Alright... My foot is still swollen and I've sat here and played with my Avatar plenty now. I think I'm going the Keebler route. I'm still just so tired... Oh but YES! I am loving the rearranged cleaned up kitchen! I totally emptied out my 2 largest drawers that have just continued to be stuffed with things. Found out that I have WAY more plastic baggies than I thought I did so moved unopened ones to the stockpile... Which also distracted me to unload a few bags and rearrange a few things out there too... Put away dishes, loaded dishes, washed dishes by hand (got a little behind this week) and also cleaned walls... and more... Sigh... Why is it that we feel compelled to do all of this when it hurts us the most!? HAHHAHAHA I need to find some Tylenol.... PS-Thanks for all the cute suggestions! I'd do the Rice Krispies if I had any in stock right now. HEHEE All I have it Keebler cookies though.

No you are not a bad mom b/c of that ![]() What kinda irritated me the other day was that DS brought home a flier from school stating that HOME MADE COOKIES are not allowed at their X-mas party though we should bring packed cookies and such... very proud Needless to say,... DS ended up with the Target deal cookies as well

No way that you'll be a bad mommy!! Noooo way!! I would rather have a happy mom who send me to Christmas program with keebler cookies than stressed And tired mom who slave over baking cookies when she's exhausted. These days, schools like it when parents send kids to school with prepackaged goodies than home made because more and more kids are developing allergies ( peanuts). |

You won't be a bad mommie, what you can do is take the cookies out of the package and put then on a plate just like you made them, and take them that way.

I say, take the package of cookies in, you sound like you have had enough activity! Take a load off, and maybe break open the cookies early ![]() Around here, we haven't been allowed to take in homemade goods for YEARS!! I have one in 12th grade, and one in 6th, and I can't remember ever being allowed to bring in homemade. Also, cookies/cake/cupcakes had to be original unopened store wrappings, so we couldnt even put onto a nice holiday plate. Dont get me wrong, but I do think its better this way. |

Hahahhahaa! You guys are all silly! Nibble on 'em or eat some before I take them in... HEHEHE Why would i need to do that? I have like 10 more packages in the stockpile so I could have just cleaned one of those out before giving them the one I did. HAHHHAHA We had a great night at the concert tonight. Hubbie got there just in time to see it all too. (Worried about delayed flights and all... sheesh...) My little one said all their lines perfectly too. YAY! Was a nice night. I didn't eat any cookied there though (I did see lots of people eating keebler ones though... hehe..) because I am totally not feeling well today now. Glad I didn't do any baking and share some germs. I think I am coming down with a cold! Ergh... I'm just battin' a thousand here. Take care everyone and enjoy your cookies!! I hope to get some holiday baking done for us still this year.
